This sandwich cutter is a great idea, and allows you to create the same type of crustless ‘pies’ sold at a premium in the supermarkets. The removeable metal ring makes it easy to clean, although I don’t see anything which indicates the plastic section is dishwasher safe. It is constructed of food-grade material that is not only BPA, but also phthalate free. In addition, mercury, pvc, and lead are not present.In order to use it you need a Large slice of bread, bigger than the typical sandwich bread I usually purchase. It will not work on crust. I tried it out on one of the slices I had on hand and it didn’t come out really well, which was disappointing. I can’t downgrade the cutter because of this however, since the bread I used was not the correct size.

Absolutely love this. This saves so much money. Very easy to use and clean. The metal cutter in the middle comes out to make washing easier. Clean cuts all around. This is perfect if you have school aged children. Or adults who love uncrustables.
