Once you understand how the game works, it’s really fun. Perfect for Christmas Eve fun but lots of fun any time during the holiday season. May be too hard for 5 and under but when sitting on a bigger persons lap, they can play as one!

Santa's Rooftop Scramble is a fun family board game that will get you into the Christmas spirit. The premise of the game is very cute. Each player receives 5 letters to Santa and their very own Santa. The Santas must go the workshop and spin the wheel until they collect all the gifts they need. Once your Santa has all his gifts, he goes to the START square and rolls the dice. The Santas move around the board and when they land on a space with the correct address from one of their letters, that Santa delivers the gifts to the child who lives there. There are also special spaces where you draw a special card that will either help your Santa or set him back. The first Santa to deliver all of his gifts, wins the game.The game is well thought out and lots of fun. But it's a little too complicated and long for younger kids. I played this game with my 5 year old grandson and we went round the board 4 or 5 times before finally landing on a square where we could deliver a gift. He was getting bored and losing interest. And at his age, my grandson did not really understand the twists in the game caused by having to draw a card. In my opinion, this game is better suited for older children with longer attention spans. The next time we played the game we changed it and made it easier for him. We only dealt out 3 Letters to Santa to each player and we didn’t use the special cards at all. Instead, when a player landed on a special card square, that player was able to deliver a gift to the address of his choice. This made the game much simpler and go much faster. We were able to play multiple rounds with him and he was very engaged and interested. This game is not only fun but it also teaches kids to recognize numbers on the dice and on the game board.
