I've been a big fan of Santic bib shorts for a few years, owning many pairs of different models, but only recently tried their jerseys. My first one was a long sleeved jersey that is basically the long sleeved version of this short sleeved jersey. No surprise, all the same good and bad points apply other than my issue with the long sleeves being too short. The short sleeves here are a good length, closer to the elbow as is the style these days, and that is a good thing for fitting with my various UV sleeves.Locking zipper works nicely, fabric feels awesome, super smooth, comfy in early afternoon full sun at 90+ F and 60% humidity. This is my first fully white colored jersey. I'm not sure I can say it feels much cooler than darker colors, but I never really felt hot in this jersey despite the lack of mesh areas. I was wondering if there would be more UV passing through, but I didn't notice any funky tan lines and had no sunburn, etc.The only complaint I have with the jersey is that it is too short and it rides up a bit in the back, leading to flapping shoulders and somewhat difficult to access pockets. The grippy waistband doesn't work to hold the jersey in place when in the road riding position. Other than the length, the fit is good when following the sizing chart. When I first got the long sleeved jersey, the Amazon size recommendation was way off, suggesting I get the Medium (the size I wear for this brand's bib shorts), but the size chart suggested XXL, which is correct for me. The Amazon recommendation for this short sleeve jersey, thankfully, is correct, and they have also since fixed the size recommendation for me on the long sleeved jersey too.

There's a lot to like about this Santic short sleeve cycling jersey, and I say that as someone who has numerous top of the line jerseys from top brands like Castelli, Attaquer, Capo, Pearl Izumi, etc. that cost as much as 5-6x what this jersey costs. The fabric is soft, smooth and very stretchy. The design is on point--colorways that are in keeping with current fashion aesthetic in the cycling world, no garish logos or blatant, poorly translated slogans emblazoned all over the jersey. And the construction is very nice. Bonded hems on the arm cuffs, front lower hem and front collar provide more comfort, more durability and more aero design. Bar tack stitching in high stress areas, combined with fabric patches inside the jersey to reinforce areas like the corners of the pockets, are nice details. And the zipper garage at the top of the zipper is great for avoiding any chafing (I would have liked to see the same detail at the bottom of the zipper to ensure it doesn't rub/wear a spot on my bib shorts). This jersey is far nicer than anyone could expect most off-brand cycling gear and at a price of barely over $30 after the current 20% off coupon, this jersey has to be perhaps the best value in cycling kit that I've ever seen. So, why the less than 5 star rating? The first thing has to do with the jersey that I initially received. During sewing, the bottom of the jersey was accidentally sewn together right at the bottom of the zipper--one of the reinforcing tacks also sewed the flap behind the zipper together with the opposing side of the jersey, so you could unzip the zipper but the bottom front sides were sewn together and couldn't be separated. I did a replacement swap and thankfully the replacement didn't have this issue, but it does point to some quality control problems. But beyond that I do have to rant just a little here about sizing. I now own four Santic jerseys, and I hate to say it, but Santic, like so many other Asian manufacturers, has problems communicating appropriate sizing information to their customers. I get that Asian sizing is different than US sizing, which is different than European sizing. When I buy kit from Italian companies like Castelli, I also have to deal with the fact that Italian sizing can be ludicrously small by US standards. So, I'm not really fussed that Santic uses different sizing conventions than US sizing. My problem is that Santic is pretty inconsistent with sizing across their products. If a size small fits me in one of their jerseys, I should have reasonable confidence that a size small in another jersey (assuming they're not radically different styles/designs, like a race fit road jersey vs a baggy MTB jersey) will fit me similarly. That is definitely not the case. This is further exacerbated by the fact that some of their products seem to conflate sizing with product dimensions. So if you look at, say a size Medium, the dimension provided in the sizing chart isn't necessarily the recommended size chest circumference for a person who would fit that size, but instead is the actual dimension of the jersey's chest (i.e. measuring the dimension of the fabric). And yet some other products show what is clearly a person's chest size, not the product's fabric dimension. What's frustrating about this particular jersey is that I have the exact same jersey as this one but in a long sleeve version. It's the same fabric, same color options, same features, design, etc., just longer sleeves. But if you look at the sizing charts, this jersey's sizing is shifted by a size as compared to the identical long sleeve jersey. This short sleeve jersey in a size small is listed as 34.2" chest and 29.9" waist. But the small long sleeve jersey in a size small is listed as 32.7" chest and 27.2" waist, while the medium long sleeve jersey is listed as 34.3" chest and 28.8" waist. Huh? Why would you have the same jersey in two different sleeve lengths have such different size dimensions? In my case, I had ordered my matching Santic long sleeve jersey in a size small based on Amazon's recommendation, and it's very tight, too tight really. And I like my cycling kit painted-on skin tight, but it was really too small. (And this was after I had previously purchased two similar Santic long sleeve jerseys in a size small that fit me perfectly.) I needed a medium. In looking at the dimensions provided in the sizing charts for the two different jerseys, I realized that the dimensions for the size small in this short sleeve jersey matched up with the size medium in the long sleeve jersey, so I ordered this jersey in a size medium and it fits me well. So, just so you have a real-world data point, I'm 5'10", 145 lbs, 36" chest, 32" waist, and the size medium is what I would call an aero/race fit on me. If you don't like an aero fit on your jersey, make sure to size up accordingly. So, after the sizing hassles and having to get a replacement because of the defect in the first jersey, I definitely really like this jersey and do believe it represents a great value. But my advice would be to order several sizes to try on and then return what you don't want. Santic's sizing is just too all-over-the-map to reliably be able to pick your size just based on the info provided online. Santic, if you're listening, please get your act together on sizing, be consistent in providing user measurements (not product measurements) and make the sizing consistent across all of your products. You'll end up with happier customers and fewer returns.Lastly, this jersey had a weird, perfumey smell to it right out of the packaging. It would be really nice if they didn't send products with smells; I'm sure it'll wash out fine, but it's a bit off putting to open a package to a piece of apparel that smells such that you don't really want to put it on.

I own several Santic jerseys, gloves and cycling pants and I’m happy with them all. I generally wear medium shirts and jerseys but the Santic size chart indicated that a large would fit me best. I took that advice and the jersey fits pretty well, although an extra-large might have worked as well. The Santic jersey has a lot of touches that other jerseys in this price range don’t have. For example, the back pockets have some extra reinforcement sown in at the pressure points. At the neck level the zipper pull fits into a cloth sleeve to guard against neck irritation. I usually carry my iPhone and wallet in the back of my jersey and pockets held them both. My iPhone did protrude a bit out of the back pocket, and after the ride I noticed a streak around the pocket line where the iPhone must have rubbed back an forth. I’ll have to watch for that in the future. I liked the snazzy beige color of the jersey, and it was comfortable the entire ride.
