SANTIE Concrete Screw-Anchor Hex Flange Zinc:

  • The SANTIE anchor is a high-performance anchor designed to self-tap threads into concrete.
  • The anchor body is constructed from hardened carbon steel, zinc-plated to Grade 5 specifications.
  • Each anchor features a finished hex washer head with anti-rotation serrations to prevent the anchor from backing out. Additionally, the head is stamped with a length identification code for easy inspection.
  • Installation requires carbide-tipped hammer drill bits that comply with ANSI B212.15-1994.

SANTIE Concrete Screw-Anchor INSTALLATION:

• Drill the Hole : Drill the hole to the specified depth and diameter as indicated in the installation guidelines.

• Clean the Hole: Remove any debris or dust from the hole to ensure proper anchor engagement.

• Install the Anchor :Screw in the anchor using a torque wrench or an impact screwdriver,setting it to the corresponding torque value or maximum power output specified for the anchor size. Be careful not to over-tighten.

• Check Contact: Ensure that the screw head makes full contact with the fixture to achieve a secure fit.

These are solid concrete screw anchors for home projects and light-loaded structural uses. The product description says to drill the pilot hole based on the installation instructions, but there are no installation instructions so that doesn't help. I used a 1/4" drill bit to install these based on Hilti Kwik HUS and Simpson Titen HD screw anchors (both similar to these) requiring a 1/4" drill bit for their 1/4" anchors, but it'd be nice to have some guidance on hole diameter or some load values. None-the-less, these worked fine to secure a minisplit unit to my concrete patio outside.
