The needles and the thimble are well made, comfortable to use and exactly as described. The icing on the cake is the packaging was absolutely lovely with a nicely done block print on lovely paper. I'm very new at hand mending. Had some jean's to patch. Did some visible mending, using these needles. By far my favorites. I didn't know what I'd like so I kept buying needles, until I stumbled on these. I've used them to mend t-shirts, hoodies, jeans and dog beds. I like using 3 strands of DMC floss and these needles are perfect for what I'm doing.

Surfing Pinterest I ran across beautiful Japanese shashinko style boro patchwork. That lead me to order this kit and while it takes a bit of practice to get used to the thimble position and coordinate using it with the needle, it is pretty nifty. I added boro patches to a pair of jeans and the gals at my quilt guild were pretty impressed...said they looked like $900 jeans from a boutique.

I'm trying to learn sashiko stitching and had been getting by with millinery needles and quarter tied in a rag for a thimble. These needles are a great quality and the concave thimble makes everything faster and easier. I will be buying more.

I bought these after struggling with a conventional embroidery needle to sashiko patch ripped jeans. They came quickly and packaged beautifully, as you would expect with any Japanese product! The thimble is adjustable and fits well, and leaves my fingers free to pull the needle while pushing. On to the next project!

Needles are fine---havn't figured out the correct way to use the thimble but will be taking a sashiko class this summer
