I got these to use on my scaffold sets. I've never had any base plates and have always set them on wood blocks. That works, but I usually end up with dirt in the tubes if I'm not careful when I move them. Good price and quality. Good addition to my scaffolding.

I used these with my WEN brand scaffolding. It comes with wheels so these came in handy for using them in the yard to work on the side of a chimney. I've tested these under lateral load and they hold up pretty well. I don't notice any stress marks on them, and the welds held just fine. I'd recommend these for your smaller scale projects that need some kind of mount. I like these, they provide a good base for a good price.
