I ordered a large expecting this dress would shrink some in the wash/dryer given the 98% cotton content. Nope. So it was too big for me. The dress looks flattering in the listing, and I thought the elastic ruched back would work well in the summer. But there's just too much fabric for the skirt. The quality was decent, the zipper worked but did stick and had to be worked up. The quality of the fabric was disappointing, thin and yet stiff. Maybe with additional washings it would soften up.

The scarlett darness corset dress in pink color is very pretty. I like that the front of the top is lined and the bottom part of the dress has lining covering the skirt making it not see through. The outside fabric of the dress is made of 98% cotton and the lining is made of polyester. The cotton fabric is soft and has a nice fall especially from the way the skirt is designed to come from the bodice accentuating the waistline. I am 5'2" tall, 135lbs, 36" bust, 30" waist, 41" hips and size Large fits big on me from the bust, waist and skirt. I am petite and the dress reaches to my ankles and there is extra fabric around my chest, even adjusting the straps the dress is too loose. The back of the corset has stretch and I think that a smaller size would work better for me. Other than the fit, the dress is beautiful and feminine.

It bunches up a bit above my hips, so it looks like I have a roll where it’s actually the smallest part of my waist. But it is just on the sides right there, everywhere else it is flattering. I look witchy and I feel adorable in it. I love it so so so much. Fabric is decent, it feels like a cotton dress and there is a lining. It’s very comfortable. I don’t feel insecure in it, I feel feminine without feeling silly. I’m usually uncomfortable in a dress, especially with skinny straps. I genuinely like this so much though. I haven’t washed it, it seems like it might need to be ironed.

This dress has nice fabric but the white lining does nothing to prevent it being see-thru. The skirt lining being shorter makes it completely obvious and the effect is the dress looks cheap. I learned years ago that nude or beige is the best color to line a white garment, but at minimum line the skirt the whole length. I wish more clothing brands would use more consideration but this isn’t a luxury garment. I knew I was taking a risk choosing this in white; lesson learned.Otherwise, the front of the bodice has only very slight seaming to shape the bust, but even the smocked back doesn’t improve the line. I’d say it will work better on smaller bust torsos, as I am an 34E-F and it just isn’t flattering. Since they included a zipper in addition to the smocking, they certainly could have made a more shaping effect in front and the stretch effect would be more flattering on more bodies. I chose a Large based on my chest measurement but that didn’t help the fit on me, and I think a medium would have just smashed me flat, not flattering. Sigh…Still, the fabric is really nice, with a varying-stripe texture that really adds visual interest. The lines run vertically except on the sides of the front where those panels have the lines running horizontal. Cute! The rear of the skirt is just one big panel, but the skirt drapes and flows nicely. If the bodice fit me better I’d like it much better, but as is I’ll have to wear something more flattering over my torso, when I was looking forward to a summer sundress to keep cool.Someone with a smaller cup-size could find this fits perfectly, and another color might make the short lining skirt a non-issue. I admit I am very (very!) picky but I do like the fabric of the dress, just felt the bodice needs more shaping to flatter a shapely bust.So, order true to size or down one, and enjoy this lightweight sundress. This dress is perfect for warm days... it's beautiful and flattering! It fits perfectly and is comfortable... the shoulder straps are adjustable which helps with the fit. There is a zipper on the back but I couldn't get it to go down after a certain point... the back of the dress is smocked so it's still easy to pull on/off too. The material is really nice... it's a light-medium thickness and is flowy. There's a gorgeous striped texture in the fabric and I adore the V shaping at the waist. The built-in slip prevents it from being see through which is great.This dress is high-quality and stylish... I love it! I recommend!

I love the soft breathable fabric. I ordered according to the chart and it was right on. It is well made and arrived quickly. I wanted something feminine and very full skirted. I have looked for over 20 years to find a style similar to a well loved dress I already own. This is a new favorite. It hangs nicely and compliments a not so hour glass figured. I feel pretty in this one. Definitely worth the money.

Was skeptical about purchasing this based off the photo reviews of other dresses by this company. Was concerned about the material. But the photo reviews about this particular dress were promising, as well as the reviews from other customers in my height and weight range.Based off those, I chose a Medium. I am barely under 5' when barefoot and 130lb (36DD) when this item was recieved and tried on. It is about an inch or so above my ankles. There is plenty of room for me to wear a bra with the dress if I choose to but still sits nicely when braless. I would say, if you are +135lbs to go up a size and if you're -125lbs to go down. The bodice is corset style but is NOT a corset, so there is no body support or shape containing element. I have a somewhat short torso and the point of the bodice hits right at my belly button, so no belly button ring poking through. Neither does my dexcom cgm nor my omnipod insulin pump, both at belly button level on either side. The skirt starts right at that level for me and hides both extremely well. Tried it on (white) with navy blue undies and I could not see them through the lining but I could see the lining. So if out in the sun, I'd stick to lighter colors just to be safe because I did not go outside to check. All in all, very happy with the dress and quality.
