Review of Scarlet Darkness Women Renaissance Corset Dress Square Neck Cottagecore Fishbone Dress. I've been looking for different summer dress options and have liked the designs of Scarlet Darkness for a while. Unfortunately, this one is a miss for me. While I love the material and the skirt length and flow, the top is absolutely unbearable! I have larger ladies and this bust has ZERO built in support for them, nor does it allow for a bra to comfortably be worn with it. Instead, it flattens down my girls so that they look misshapen and droopy :(

This dress is very beautiful. The color is excellent, the material is nice, and the fit is great and pretty accurate. The corset is a tiny bit frumpy but honestly that could just be how I'm built and not the dress. 9/10 definitely! Also bonus points because it has pockets!!

I found this dress a bit disappointing. I was expecting this corset dress to be form-fitting and accentuate my waist, but the way it is designed, it actually made my body look large and awkward. The material is pretty thick & the skirt portion of the dress is rather pretty, but I found the way the top part of the dress fits me quite off-putting unfortunately.

I have a Viking themed wedding to prepare my wife and I for later this year, I saw this dress and I thought it would be perfect for either of us to use as a base. I'm particularly impressed with the fact that it's actually made almost entirely cotton, has just enough elastic to help prevent too much wrinking during regular wear, and has multiple layers so it's not see-through and despite being a summer dress, it's surprisingly warm! Its classic and adaptable and has just enough built-in ribbing in the corset to give some shape but not be uncomfortable (think more like how some modern bridesmaids and wedding dresses feel rather than unable to breathe). I do wish that the zipper went all the way up and closed with a hook and loop/eye rather than be closed at the top and mostly just help get your bust in like how it closes on the side. Also, the corset portion of the dress could be slightly longer; I have a short torso and it matches mine exactly so it doesn't help me fake any elongation and to make it sit well on my wife's long torso, I have to lower the straps (which they provide plenty of fabric and spacing to do). This dress looks good and is comfortable to wear. It fits more like a large than XL. It's a modern stylish look. Color is as expected. Wear at the beach or fair or style into your daily wear. Recommend!

Just buy it. It exceeded expectations. I Larp and go to Ren Faire and it is a high quality linen look cotton exterior, fully lined in polyester. Stretchy for comfort, and boning is flexible and not constricting. Ties are adjustable and strong material. Just buy it, blue is accurate to the picture, I'm 5'4 and it hits tea length.

Beautiful perfection in a dress! The fabric is a nice, light weight while still remaining opaque. Perfect for transitional weather like spring. The skirt moves beautifully while you walk and is a nice, ankle length on me at 5'5. The top has a nice corset structure with some good boning for support, meaning no bra is necessary with it. The top fits comfortably across the chest and waist, allowing good freedom of movement while maintaining its support. The bows that form the top of the straps are cute, if a bit long for my taste. They look like they could be easily customized/shortened with some scissors and a little stitching. For reference I am 5 feet 5 inches tall, 190 pounds, size 36DD chest and the XL fits like a dream.
