These chains have saved me a number of times driving through some serious clay ruts with my Acura MDX (with 3000lbs trailer load). I found that hooking the inside part of the chain on the last link, and then hooking the outside of the chain as tight as possible. Tighten the cams as tight as possible, then drive around a little bit to stretch out the chains and they will loosen up. Loosen the cams and then try and tighten the chain link a couple more links, then do the cams again. It should be very tight or you run the risk of them hitting sensors or part of the suspension. Buy 2 sets of chains for an AWD vehicle. I've only used them on clay and dirt. You'll see in the pictures the terrain I was going through. I should note that the MDX has 300hp so that helps pull through the heavy trailer.

they do not fit LT 225/75 16 tires I missed the return window by the time I got to see if they fit my Ford van very disapointed in Amazon and seller I checked them against my van in my Amazon garage aand when I looked at the bag they came in my tire size was not listed

I wanted to buy a heavier chain for snow plowing but settled for these. They have worked fine on my truck. They do show some wear even though I plow only on dirt and gravel. But that's probably to be expected.

these chains are well made and very easy to install, I've driven on them 3 seasons now on my Chevy Colorado pickup truck with a snowplow. care must be taken not to drive too fast and make sure the ends are secure , if you don't they will beat the hell out of your fenders.

Good product for the price. Fits my 02 jeep tj on stock wheels. No clearence issues. The chains need to be tied with strapping accross the rim to snug them up good which is pretty standard for most tire chains.

Put these on my truck today, to my surprise they are way too big, I was sent the wrong size despite using their sizing chart. Having said that the quality looks excellent. I like the cam tightening system, simple and strong. I strongly recommend these cam tightening chains.*Update* I borrowed a friend's chain pliers and now the chains fit nice and snug after removing 4-5 chain links per side and moving one of the chains.

I got these to be ready for winter. very heavy duty. I fitted them on my pickup and they were a good fit. I purchased the recommended rubber bungees. I am set for the winter.
