Schecter wanted 300 for a case that fits the Robert smith ultracure. And never gave it in stock. This one works well. A little extra room but inserted some foam. Good deal.

This is pretty well made for the price. I have a soft case as well for light travel. This has a small built in key hole in the center so you can lock it up and not having to worry about people getting into your things. The lining of the case fits perfectly for the ultra guitar series. There's extra storage space in there as well. It is quite heavy with my ultra iii guitar. It feels at least 30 lbs. I would use this from time to time but, especially if I have guest over at my house. I'm quite impressed. If you're worried about the weight and the fact that it's bulky, this may not be for you. It feels quite sturdy though and I won't be returning this.

Like the other ratings say it fits the body great, except it is too deep for the guitar. Pad the bottom and neck part of the case and it will keep the head and tuners from touching the bottom of the case. It's a little thicker of a case than my others but it doesn't bother me as I just needed a sturdy case to take to clubs.

My Ultra III was bought in 2007 and has been living in its shipping box. At that time, I thought the case that was advertised as a fit was too expensive (about $139.00), so I passed and figured I would pick up a used universal case on the world's favorite on-line auction site. I did not appreciate how oddly shaped and sized this guitar is, and, after 8 years of watching unsuccessfully for a used case, I broke down the other day and bought this 11-IUM on Amazon Prime. Maybe the 2007 model Ultra III is different, although it looks the same as the current pictures in Amazon, and mine does have a Bigsby. This case fits my Ultra III perfectly. It even has a notch in the very bottom for the Bigsby lever pointing straight down. The other thing that I noticed is that case's carrying handle is eccentrically located and accommodates the added weight of the body compared to the neck. The result is that it carries in a balanced, level attitude. The case is big and heavy, but it fits the guitar.

This case came with my Schecter Ultra III guitar. While I love the guitar (especially after swapping out the pick ups with some TV Jones Magna Trons). This case is an absolute piece of garbage. Like another reviewer mentioned, it's cut too deeply and your guitar can flop around inside. You'll need towels or thick foam to keep the guitar somewhat secure. The latches and hardware feel flimsy and loose and the outside of the case is adorned with with gaudy "Schecter Guitar Research" logo written in giant gothic letters. For those who bought the Ultra III partly because they like the cool retro Fender Jaguar meets Italia Guitars look, the cheesy death metal aesthetics of the case really seem like a poor choice. It seems no one else makes a hardshell case that fits the Ultra III guitar either. The lower bout is wider than other offset guitars like Jaguars, Jazzmasters or Gibson Firebirds. I suppose a completely custom case is the only option if you want a quality hardshell case for the Ultra III and that's going to be really expensive. Really a shame that Schecter hasn't redesigned this case.

the case is sturdy and well made. However, it does have some issues. The neck support its to low in the case, allowing the headstock to touch the bottom, presenting a severe risk of breakage. It also allows the guitar to shift back and forth when the case is set on it's edge. I was able to solve these problems by placing a thick towel in the bottom of the case across the body cavity and neck support. I shouldn't have to do this with a case that is specifically made for this exact model of guitar. That said, it would most likely be difficult to find a generic case that would properly fit this unique shaped guitar.

The cut-out for the guitar is a perfect match, but they must think the Donegan Ultra is 4" thick! I had to place a couple towels under the guitar to keep it from flopping around inside the case. Perhaps it would be a perfect match to the Ultra models with Bigsby trems?
