This appears to be solid brass. Looks good, went on with no issues (I did have to drill 2 holes in my door) screws were long enough, and seems to be wearing well.

It seems that many are like this now where u cant just screw it from the outside in. Had to return and get an old fashioned one that had a way to do it.

The product details failed to mention that the holes must be 3 & 15/16" apart. I figured it was standard 3.5" and opened the product anyway to find it doesn't fit.On the pro side, it's nice looking.

your an idiot if u buy something more expensive, this is legit, affordable, very shiney, easy to install make sure you have a drill and 3/16 bit to drill your door, the rest u can do with a screwdriver, very easy install. Everybody loves it
