Worked better than my Gearwrench universal clutch fan tool. I used it to change the belt and pulley for a Discovery 2.

Works for the water pump, and does a bang-up job. I really like this tool and I'm glad I invested. To use it you need bolt heads to stick out beyond the face of the pulley.. beyond flush with the belt. if they do, this tool will work for that pulley. But don't think it'll give enough leverage for a harmonic balancer. It's sturdy enough, but the way it hooks onto bolts isn't a secure enough method to resist 150ft.lbs of torque. you'll wind up slipping off, that's all..It's a 5 star tool through and through, and I'm stoked I found it. You should get one. It'll last til you lose it or it gets stolen.

Used this on my 2007 Tundra. Hesitant to buy for the price. However it is perfect. Made the job so easy. No regrets with this purchase. Great at holding the water pump while removing the fan nuts.

Did exactly what it was designed to do. Used it on a 07 f150 to hold the water pump while I removed the fan clutch. This tool hooks on to the bolts that stick out of the water pump and holds it steady. Worked really well for that intended purpose. My only gripe with this tool is it's pretty expensive for what it actually is. I'd expect a tool like this to cost $15-$20, not the $50 I got it for.But I guess when you're in a pinch and have no other options you'll pay the high price.

This is one of those weird tools that can really turn a bad situation into a not much bother one. The belts broken or thrown and there is no tension on the pulley and this will hold the fan clutch while you get it off. getting access to the front of the engine can really make the difference. There are other pulley holding tools but this one works really well and does not require any setup.
