The Maggie works great to locate rebar or other iron/magnetic markers. Used it to find benchmarks I set 10 years ago for a scientific study and worked excellent on rebar. Small rock bolts were trickier, but we installed some Chris Nik mag nails near the rock bolts because Maggie gave a good signal on the mag nails. Durable and easy to use.

Pin points with high accuracy vertical well locations. Have to turn sensitivity to low to pin point exact location when scanning over the top of a well that is below ground level. Found several wells that were over 4’ beneath surface. Great product!

I have owned one of these for years and quit using it completely. Went back to my 30 year old GA 52 CX. You can only use one of 4 pre-set sensitivities. I've sent it back for repairs twice, after getting it damp in a light rain it quit working. I'll take the old box-on-a-stick model any day.

I’ve used two older version of Schonstadt locators and this one is the best so far I am ordering a second one. I would recommend this locator.

This works so much better than a magnawand or the regular schonstedt. I am a SUE field technician and have used this and the one handed operation alone is worth while. Along with the increased sensitivity makes it awesome. Plus it is usually $100 cheaper than the schonstedt we all know and "love". Worked well for finding burried manholes and pins.
