Purchased for 7yr, first time playing football . He was vey comfortable in it did not complain about it hurting or anything like he did with the generic regular one that his helmet came with. Snapped easily to helmet didn’t have to force together like some snaps and was easy for him to pull off himself if needed. Would purchase again

The chin strap buckles are not metal...they are plastic (the white buckles pictured are the ones that came on the chin strap). When I bought the Riddell helmet it came with the white riddell chin strap that did have the metal buckles and I just switched the buckles out. I LOVE it! Our team is the Longhorns this yr so I'm super excited to have found and orange chin strap! Yes I know its not the exact color of burtn orange, but it will do! The chin strap is great quality!

Well, it's 100% better than the last one I had as, because of the strap I had before this, I have a scar on my chin. This works well, and was affordable.

Great quality. The only draw back is that your chin gets quite sweaty, I recommend getting some sort of sleeve for it to help with the sweat. Otherwise, it's pretty quality! I play women's semi-pro football, and I would definitely recommend this.

Overall the product is a good product. I think that the product is a little cheaply made and it is very noticeable but the product has worked for this football season and that was what was important.

This product was great! Fits perfect and snugly, very comfortable for my little linebacker! The only problem, which I didn't even feel the need to deduct in the rating for, was that it was extremely difficult to snap on to my son's helmet. We had other chin straps that were a bit more "user-friendly" so that was shocking, I couldn't even help him clip it on, we had to get the coach every time and he struggled occasionally. But honestly, it is still worth that hassle...
