Product Description

The Scilogex 82110004 MX-F Vortex Mixer has a fixed speed of 2,500rpm for rapid vortexing of samples, and can be operated by touch or in continuous mode. This mixer comes with a cup head for mixing a single test tube or other small vessel up to 30mm in diameter. Additional interchangeable mixing heads (sold separately) are available for holding various tubes and vessels. The mixer's steel base and four silicone feet provide stability and dampen vibration. It has an eccentric motor with oil-less bearings, and has Technischer Überwachungs-Verein (TÜV) Rheinland cTUVus and European Conformity (CE) marking. Vortex shakers are commonly used in laboratories to mix liquids.

H is height, the vertical distance from the lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back.

Vortex shakers mix small amounts of liquid in laboratory containers for biochemical, microbiological, and other applications. A vortex shaker can be analog or digital and is commonly an automated, electrically powered, benchtop unit with a base that holds a rubber cup or a platform that spins off center. The user places a test tube, beaker, or other small vessel of liquid onto the spinning cup or platform, creating a vortex to mix the liquid. Some models can hold multiple containers, often by an accessory attached to the base. Additional features may include fixed or variable speeds, touch or hands-free operation, and various voltages.

Scilogex manufactures laboratory equipment and supplies. The company, founded in 2008 and headquartered in Berlin, CT, meets International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standards 9000 and 13485.

I bought this to shake miniatures paint. I’m very happy with it. It’s the perfect size for eye dropper style paint pots like Army Painter or Reaper Minis.

I got this to use for mixing paints for table top minis. Ive used it for Vallejo, style dropper bottles and Citidel style paint pots. Citadel pots require being flipped upside down but this causes no issues. I also got some agitator ball barrings for nail polish to throw in pots. In less than 10 sec you get silky smooth mixed paint making it so you get the most quality out of your paints especially fickle metallics that like to separate. the images are a before and after example of Ceramite White which has been on the mixer for 10sec on the mixer with an added ball barring.

I bought this for mixing hobby sized paint containers.I'm using 30 ml dropper bottles and this tells me if I need to add more clear acrylic or other additive. This thing is powerful, so be careful how you put the bottles on it because it will wear the plastic down on the bottle.I use it by putting it cap down into the mixer and then pressing down. This barely fits the GW pots when putting them cap down. I recommend doing this because it will wear down the bottoms of the pots quickly. This will mix everything that I've tried.- 2oz "craft" paint bottles (line up the topside down with the top of the mixer).- GW pots- 30 ml Dropper bottles (and pretty much any dropper bottleHave a loose grip on the bottle when pressing down, I do it for 10-15 secs, then give the bottle a shake, (add an additive if needed), then another 10-15 secs. Longer than this the motor will heat up quickly and that can burn the motor up quicker. So far I've used it on about 50 different bottles/pots and still going strong, just heats up.OH and make sure you have an agitator, when you hear it rolling around in there, the paint is a great consistency.

Arrived right on time, was able to use it right away. For anyone that uses miniatures paints, this is a godsend. I was able to mix up even the most stubborn of paints with this, and it saved a lot of wear and tear on my arm. Can't recommend this enough for those in the hobby, this is the best investment you'll make.

Quality, substantial machine I use for modeling paints, ect. Won't fall apart like hobby mixers (Robart). As is, fits Vallejo and AK bottles perfectly with the best mix possible in just a few seconds. No need to throw out expensive but separated paints. On some of the larger bottles, can be used cap down, but kind of risky if you let go! Bought the Universal Adapter as well, but don't really see benefit to the high cost. THIS WILL LAST A LIFETIME and meet modeling purposes exactly

I was looking for a good way to stir my hobby paints and remembered using vortex mixers when I used to work in a lab. Although I'm not using this mixer in a Laboratory setting, it works perfectly as a paint stirrer. I'm using it to stir Vallejo 17mL paint bottles. The cup on the vortex mixer is EXACTLY the right size to fit these 17mL bottles. So if you're serious about hobby painting and don't want to shake your Vallejo paints forever, then invest in this mixer. Admittedly it might be on the expensive side for a paint mixer, but it's exactly what I needed to save time and get a perfect consistency from my paints.

Use it for mixing hobbyist paint. Needed to replace used unit which had broken down. This one is extremely effective, not too much more than used units on ebay, looks great, and should last forever.

The vibration is not enough. At least mixing ejuice. I would like to return it but it says its not eligible for a refund, which makes me dislike it even more.
