My father-in-law's old Dodge Dakota had been making a lot of fan noise in stop and go traffic, so I suggested to him that he might want to have the fan clutch looked at. Fast forward about a year and a half, and I borrowed his truck. Same noise. Well, since he wasn't going to have it looked at, I swapped it out myself with this unit. It's physically larger than the original, but it works as intended after a few days of break-in. It definitely made the fan howl for a couple of days after installing, but after cycling for a while I think the fluid within is finally flowing correctly and the new fan clutch is working as it should.
