These hood struts were amazing. I have a HEAVY hood and I mean really heavy. It’s on a 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis and these struts did a wonderful job not only holding the hood up but when you unlatched the hood and lifted it the struts lifted the hood fast and took no effort at all. It took the hood right out of my hands they worked that well.

My old lift support failed and almost knocked my head off. These support lifts fit exactly for my Lexus ES 350. It is an easy pull out/push in installation, no skill required. Yes, you need to rotate it to line up. (Just read the installation tip). For $23 , it is a steal. However, I found it little bit harder to close the hood than my previous ones. But, really a no big deal.

Fits perfectly in my 2017 Lexus NX. Bought the left and right ones. Took about 20 min to install and tailgate opens smoothly now.

These hood struts worked perfectly for my son's 2011 Lexus ES 350. It was a direct replacement that took less than 5 minutes and cost 5% of what a dealer would charge. This brand was the cheapest pair I could find in March 2025, with the highest reviews. I hope this review helps save you some time. There should be zero negative reviews; assume those folks bought for the wrong vehicle or don't know how to install it; it's simple, but the top ball on the old unit can be a bit tough to remove in some cases, but it will pop off.

Worked absolutely perfect. A word of advice…. Even if it says it will fit your application. Measure the cylinder part first then place an order. I placed three orders before I realized they were too long.

So far they work perfect on my 06 ford fusion. Close to oem for a great price. My trunk lid kept on falling shut on me. These ones hold it open perfectly

Price is great. Works well. Seems to be good quality. A little too much lift for the hood on my 2011 Audi A3 8P TDI though.Better than the alternative of no hood strut so I’m still happy with it for the price!

Does not fit on a Volvo S80 2007 like it is supposed to do and when you want to pull them out they break.
