Ok so you got an 8th gen accord and want to upgrade your speakers need a harness like this. Oh wait why does it seem like it won’t fit? Remove the inner pieces with pliers they snap right off. So easy!

They do the job and mount speakers correctly. Unfortunately they are made from some really weak plastic. Arrived broken. Highly suggest some foam tape to help isolate out noise and rattling.

The adapter is universal and can fit a wide variety of speakers. In my case I had to trim all the tabs on the inside off (no big deal at all) I expected to have to customize it a little bit to fit my Pioneer TS-D65F speakers. Othe then that they Work amazing, Direct fit into my car. No customizing to make that fit there. The package comes with TWO Adapters. They are also made out of heavy duty poly. I would recommend for anybody looking for aftermarket speakers for their 06-11 civic.

I used two pair of these on Honda Civic 2012. One pair to front doors and one pair for back side.I support both sides (car side and speaker side) of them with thin sponge layer against distortion and sound isolation. When you applying these to car you should use some force to fix in but also be patient to not broke them.Only problem I had with these, I could not use original Honda screws because of screw heads prevents speakers to stay horizontally on this brackets. I saw somebody spend some time making holes for screw heads to stay sunken. I found it risky to damage rims and choose easier way, used different screws and screw them little bit diagonally.Result is perfect. I drive amplifier on all speakers and listen music at high volumes. I never had rattling, distortion or any artificial sound on my system yet.I advice these to Honda owners. Also Scosche have to redesign and find a solution for screw heads stay sunken to make their product perfect.

First, I'd like to clarify that there are TWO rings per package, so if you're planning on replacing the speakers on your 06-11 Civic, order accordingly as the product description does not give this info.I ordered a total of four Scosche rings to change out all four speakers from my 2010 Civic LX coupe. I figured this would be a simpler way to go as all other (or should I say OLDER) DIY's to change out the speakers for this model car involve hacking/cutting up the OEM speaker and using those as the rings to accommodate aftermarket speakers. I did NOT want to do this. These rings also seat the same way onto the car as the OEM speakers would with two tabs and one bolt/screw holding it down. It has various holes/tabs that could be used to accommodate both 5.25" and 6.5" speakers.*** Make sure that the new speakers that you get for the car has proper depth/height. Certain speakers might not fit due to being to high or too low and might interfere with vehicle operations ***I used a pair of Pioneer TS-A1674R for the front doors and TS-A1684R for the rear deck. I changed out the rear speakers first since I've read that this was easier (lol).Though I did a little research to see if the TS-A1684R's would fit my car (it indicated it did) I disregarded the notes associated with it in order for the speakers to fit. So when I got the speakers in, I was in for a little surprise when they were in. I had to cut a little part of the torsion bar (the drivers side) that helps the trunk spring up. This didn't affect the performance of that bar and still pops the trunk up when I open it. Also, the rear deck that covers the speaker and holds the center stop lamp has to be modified. On the under side, there are rings that surrounded the OEM speaker. These needed to be trimmed so that you could reinstall the cover and have it come all the way down so the clips could snap in place. The door was a lot simpler. You could find a DIY on how to remove the door panels. When you get to the speaker, just remove and re-install and just reverse the removal instructions to put everything back together. No modification needed to the door panels or the door. There are a couple of things to note as to why I didn't give this five stars even though it made new speaker installation simpler.First, the single bolt/screw that is used to hold down each speaker needs to be counter-sunk into the ring. This might not be necessary depending on the speaker that you use, but if you're planning on using a 6.5" speaker, you're almost guaranteed that you need to counter-sink that bolt. Reason being is that the speaker itself is a little large and partially covers that hole that the bolt has to go through. And if it's not counter-sunk, then the bolt protrudes and the speaker won't sit flush onto the ring (or just makes the installation process impossible since the speaker has to be assembled with the ring before you install onto the car).Second, there isn't any kind of dampening on the ring itself. If you notice when you remove the OEM speaker that there is foam on the bottom of it. Without some kind of deadening material these things will most likely rattle when playing music. I ordered foam tape (also through Amazon) and used that to cushion the ring onto the car. The foam was a little wide, but cutting it half and cutting the length to size made it look like an OEM piece.I hope that Scosche improvises a new ring where they change that hole that holds the single bolt already counter-sunk so that the consumer doesn't have to do it. This would make the perfect adapter ring for aftermarket speakers.

These adapters worked great for putting Polk DB651s in my 2006 civic lx coupe. The front fit perfect without any modification. They worked for the rear as well, with a little shaving of the rear deck cover because the adapters make your speakers sit a little bit higher then the stock speakers sit. The modification is very easy and is only on the underside of the cover so everything still looks factory. At least for me, the screws that held the speaker to the adapter had to go in at an angle otherwise the speaker partially covered the hole for the screw that mounts the adapter to the car. Without these adapters i would not have been able to install the speakers. I would definitely use this product again because it made the installation pretty easy for a car that has a very odd way of mounting the factory speakers.
