Truth be told, this is certainly a nice solid tape to keep a sharp and flat line. I picked this up to replace a roll we were running out of for conventional blue 3M painters tape. Ran across this and picked it up. We're applying paper along our flooring/edging during a remodel and this came in very handy. It's keeping a nice tight line to all the surfaces. We just replaced a damaged section with new paper using this tape and it looks amazing in stark contrast to the section with the old roll of blue tape. We put this to the test today when painting a section that did have some bleed over onto the tape and the line looks laser sharp. Although it's more expensive, this roll is a great option for ceiling corners to ensure you have a laser straight line coming to the wall seams. I would likely not use this over rounded crown molding as in that case, nothing beats a true brush line to ensure optimal performance. That being said, this is a next best option either way!

It's been tough to get a good painter scheduled to repaint a powder room. Everybody is busy and my job is quite small. When I saw this tape, I decided to get it and do the paint job myself. I'm super picky about sloppy paint lines, and I thought this could help. TLDR, it did, a lot. This tape applied to the top of my baseboards and my ceiling easily and continued to stick well over the 3-4 days that it took for me to apply the tape. I applied the tape every day for 3-4 days as I had a few spare minutes in my schedule. Painting went faster than expected, as I trusted the paint and the tape to do their jobs. When I peeled the tape away about 8 days after initial application, the tape peeled away easily, and I was left with a crisp line, which is better than the last "professional" paint job left.I'm not a professional painter (obviously), so I cannot speak for them, but as a homeowner who may have a small painting job or two, this worked really well for me. At this point, given how difficult it is to schedule professionals in our small town, I will just do the small painting jobs myself. This tape allows me to take my time and just do the taping when I can. I don't feel rushed and the result looks 100%.

This tape is exactly what you would expect from ScotchBlue. It is nice and wide, helps to protect all the surfaces I have used this with so far and has left no residue. From covering surfaces for painting, or helping to mark a location for a nail to go or I have even used it to hold up small light wires behind a tv and its lasted forever and zero stickies left behind. Worth every single penny.

This is a brand name tape and it works very well. If anyone has used this painters tape from scotch will know that it works pretty well. It's not the cheapest but it is a little nicer than regular painters tape. It's creates fairly clean lines when painting and that is one of the things they advertise. I would use this for a job that requires very fine lines or Sharp edges only because it is a bit pricey. For all other regular jobs where you don't need an amazing line or if you're just using it for anything other than painting, I would use just regular painter's tape. This is a fairly wide one at 2 in wide. I was overall pleased with the quality of this tape and I can tell that it does cost a little more. It just feels a little sturdier if that makes sense. But if you are looking for a high quality tape for really nice lines on your paint job, this is a good option to consider trying.

We used this to make a color block room. We put the tape up over a couple days and peeled it while it was still damp. Slightly higher cost but i'd buy again for the results. I don't paint often so I want it to make sure it looks sharp for a long time.

good old ScotchBlue. It does the job it says it does, keeps the edges clean & comes off easily. Don't leave it on for long though. or else it's very hard to remove.

This painter’s tape is extra wide for a little more protection. It sticks well and gives a clean, sharp line. It’s a classic for a reason!
