Nicely made, but unfortunately very strange sizing. The medium was like wearing a tent; the small was too small in the chest/shoulders even to zip up.

This 'SCOTTeVEST LightEST Vest for Men' is the most amazing vest I've seen to date. I own a bunch of vests because I need a lot of pockets and I don't always want to wear a full jacket in order to have them, and a vest is a perfect alternative.So let's get down to what makes this one so great.Okay, first of all the zipper. It zips on the proper side for American (male) users. Most vests I've found have the zipper fob on the left side rather than the right, and it just feels wrong when you're trying to zip it up. This one finally gets it right for Americans. The zipper is also strong and smooth.Now, the pockets. This thing sports an unprecedented amount of pockets!! Among them are: a bud bucket, which is a small pocket on each side near the collar where you can tuck in your earbuds. It also has a phone pocket, tablet pocket, and a whole bunch of specialized pockets like a glasses pocket, complete with a chamois attached on a little string. It has pen pockets, which are life-changing for me, a change pocket (its inside the left hand pocket and secured with velcro with a little loop so you can find and open it with ease. Seriously, NO ONE makes pockets for coins and yet they should be basic! Inside the right hand pocket there's an elastic water bottle loop and a key holder on a strap with a carabiner! Of course it also has spaces for credit cards and a nice place with RFID blocking materials for keeping a passport. To top it all off there's a back pocket, which is a large pocket around the back of the vest which can be accessed by a zippered opening on either side.The vest is made from really nice materials; soft to the touch and elegant, yet durable. It's even water resistant. It's not too heavy either, so you can wear it comfortably in warm or cool weather.I got mine in size Large, and it fits great. I admit I like a 'fitted' design to my clothing so I can't say this is exactly form-fitting, but it does fit like a normal vest should and the size chart in the listing is accurate. I'm considering getting another one in a Medium, but the size chart suggests that may be a stretch for me. Anyway, I'm plenty happy with the Large.All in all, I love this vest. I can't express strongly enough how impressed I am with the quality, fit and versatility. As I mentioned previously, I have other vests (five very nice ones) and this one is by far the best. And I'm picky when it comes to things like this. It has earned a rave review and I strongly recommend it.

You really can put a lot of stuff comfortably in the pockets. I just got it but put two shirts in it. My passport, wallet, reading and sun glasses. AirPods and case, Bluetooth connector, phone, three playing cards size boxes with stuff in them. The vest looked fine with plenty of room to have doubled that and more. Most of the large pockets were still empty. The only slight bulge you could see was the two shirts in the back pocket. Even that went away when worn unzipped. The shirts acted like a lumbar support. I usually put the airline pillow on the seat for that. I wear a large, sometimes XL with loose jackets or shirts. I got the XL in this vest so it would fit loosely and not show bulges if zippered up. It is plenty big so I would call it true to size. It’s great to have nothing in my pockets, easy airport screening and still have a backpack and carryon avoiding the cost in time and money of a checked bag. It is pricey but is well built and can carry a lot. All it needs to do is allow me to avoid checking a bag 2-3 times and it has basically paid for itself.

I really like it. I love pockets. But the real test will be when I go on my trip. That's why I only gave 4 stars because I haven't gone on my trip yet, maybe I can give an update when I get back.

Let me start by saying I have owned quite a few different Scott-E-Vest products over the years, some good, some bad, most overpriced. I've been really happy with this vest. I do a lot of flying for work, and a travel vest like this is VERY handy for keeping your hands free, getting your electronics through security, and making sure you have what you need when you sit down, without needing to ruffle through your bags. The vest itself seems to be made out of good materials, the zippers seem nice and strong, and you get a good variety of pocket sizes.The downside of this particular vest is it is a lightweight (thin) vest, so not only will it do little to keep you warm, it is pretty easy to see seams/zippers through the material, even when the pockets are empty. I expected this based on some of their other products I own, but I know some people might not care for it.Sizing is pretty standard for outerwear. I normally wear an XL shit, and a L jacket. I gambled and got the L version of this, and it fits fine over a t-shirt or polo, with enough room to still stuff items in all these pockets (including a full sized iPad).

So sure, my passport inside it's leather case fits fine in the RFID secure pocket. Cell phone goes in, pens, etc. etc. What astonished me it that I was able to put a 13" iPad in it's cover into the large inside right pocket. It takes up all the room and pulls heavily on that side, but damn... This is in the XL which I'm returning for a L. We'll see if it fits there too.Not really planning on carrying the iPad that way, but it's amazing that it can fit.
