Using to attach a handle on kayak .. was pop rivited on one rivet came out..seams to work just way suppose to so far> kayak I lifting is 60lbs...

Do not buy this product. I drilled the proper size hole 3/8. When i went to tighten up on the screws the plug pulled right out. Garbage

a great tool to use on any boat.... but make SURE you want those large holes in your boat... 'cause once you've drilled those holes, there's no going back. I haven't noticed any water coming in yet... and hope it doesn't. Thanks Scotty!

I watched a video of an "expert" using this product to mount some Scotty kayak stabilizers on a kayak. I followed his instructions carefully, these are supposed to be perfectly acceptable for this application. It's simply not true - the first stabilizer mount pulled right out of the kayak after the boat had been in the water for maybe two minutes at best. The second stabilizer lasted about an hour before it pried loose as well. These are appropriate for non-load bearing applications only, certainly nothing else.

I used these to connect a turn signal switch with a flat sheet metal base to an irregular shaped steering column. Formed the sheet metal to the column, used a well nut to hold base to column, then formed sheet metal to column in another place and installed another well nut, and so on using a total of four well nuts. The turn signal switch is held very securely to the plastic column and the job looks very nice.The well nuts are very handy for such projects, no shop is complete without them.
