I originally had white plastic thread protectors on the several dozen threaded screws which held our hurricane shutters/panels in place. Over the years, the white plastic started to deteriorate and discolor. I searched many different sites, even purchased different protectors to try, and eventually found these and tried them. They are infinitely better than the white, and the black covers blend much better with our exterior brick than white. Very pleased!
