Essential adapter for your scope to attach extension tubes, etc. Threading is good. All metal construction.

As another review mentions, the difference between 'not attached at all' and 'fully threaded on' is absolutely minuscule. In fact, I measured the distance myself; it's 20mm of rotation. You could easily bump whatever device is attached to this adapter and have the entire thing drop off because the adapter travelled that tiny distance it was using to stay threaded onto your telescope.

My camera fell off my OTA and hit the ground and bent my usb cable header because of this product. This threaded on to my mount with about 1/20th of a full turn maybe less. As soon as you touch it at all it comes undone and if you aren't holding the gear tightly, good luck. Lesson learned. Avoid this.
