The quality is good, and the ball top makes for a comfortable grip, even if you don't attach a light or other accessory to it.The stick is thicker than many on the market, but is lighter (being Aluminum) than the typical stainless versions. The lanyard is too small for typical wrists; especially if you are coldwater diving with heavier gloves.

I wanted a muck stick to hold me in place when I'm doing underwater photos. I ordered this which looked compact yet thick enough to hold without bending. I haven't used this yet, but it seems very sturdy. I like the sliding foam pad, which is quite thick, because I can avoid having the stick penetrate too deeply into the sand.

This Muck stick is perfect for upping your macro photography. Whether you are using strobes or constant lighting sources it allows you to set the light as if you are in a studio. In the past I would wrangle a armload of lights and lose track of what I was trying to shoot. Now I can get my strobe and snoot fixed and perfectly adjusted. This allows me to focus on the composition and create much more pleasing and consistent macro shots. This vendor also has a much better price than other similar ones at twice the price.

This diving pointer features several bells and whistles. Many are simple aluminum sticks. This anodized aircraft aluminum pointer features a ball end for attachment of a dive light or camera; engraved cm markings for sizing findings, and a buoyancy float that can also stabilize it in sand. The re-positionable float fits very tightly and won’t fall off inadvertently.A paracord wrist leash lacks a cord lock. It doesn’t cinch down securely on my small 6.5” wrist so I am still deciding on a way to keep this pointer handy yet secure – probably a coiled cable leash that attaches to my BC that unclips to allow extension. I may also simply add my own cord lock. I am not deducting a star because most divers have larger wrists and probably won't experience this issue (but they still may wish to add a cord lock as a safeguard).I love this robust pointer and look forward to using it.

This is an anodized aluminum spike with a standard 1" ball head. The length markings are clear and can serve as nice photo scale index. The closed cell foam buoyancy float stays in place and renders the stick less negatively bouyant and serves as a "stop" when sticking it into sand and muck. The wrist lanyard is decent but could benefit for a cord lock. The star of the show is the ball head. I've tried it out with a GoPro and an OrcaTorch video light and it proved quite useful for adding fill light and B-roll filler footage to supplement main camera rigs. In retrospect, I would've selected the blue version for better visibility in a bag full of black dive kit but this is really nit-picking.
