My husband was super excited to try out his new bcd on our dive trip in Belize and quickly turned into a nightmare. When he tried to empty his bcd to submerge to the 60 ft depth the bcd malfunctioned and did not empty the air all the way. Luckily we had an awesome dive master who weighed my husband down with 20 lbs of weights to complete the dive. He usually only needs 9 lbs in salt water. We had to finish our trip with a rental bcd. Very disappointing for such a high quality brand. We are returning.

I purchased this BCD because of its 54lb lift capacity and couldn’t be happier with the BCD as a whole. For public safety diving one is usually and intentionally overweighted to stay in contact with the bottom while searching or recovering. Often Recreational and technical BCD’s only offer between 30-40lbs of lift. When you’re already overweighted and trying to swim something to shore off of the bottom the extra lift is perfect. Aside from the lift the side pockets are large enough and D-rings adequately spaced for stowing needed equipment for PSD work… did I mention that it is the most comfortable BCD I have had the pleasure of wearing!

Well designed and overall fit . Oddly “cheap” plastic waist belt. Runs BIG! I need a size smaller…
