The 6" x 6" jewelry cloth is double layered and includes a yellow buffing outer cloth and a red polishing rouge treated inner cloth. The red polishing rouge treated inner cloth removes the dirt, grease, and tarnish from brass, gold, silver, etc. Touching jewelry and other objects regularly adds dirt and creates a buildup of tarnish. You can use it for polishing and cleaning antiques, brassware, jewelry, medal trophies, musical instruments, silverware, watches, and more. Use this product dry and do not wash the polishing cloth. * Directions: 1. Rub the metal surface with the red polishing cloth. Avoid touching the red polishing side with bare hands. 2. It would appear that the company who manufactured this forgot to embed the polishing Rouge in the flannel. No change in the silver I was trying to polish. This cloth is destined for the trash can. Very disappointing.

T's okay. No big on the colour red but the cleaning part on inside panel doesn't really clean the metal very well.

I do not think there is quite enough rouge in my cloths. Perhaps they are older? They work okay with a lot of additional elbow grease.
