Use silicone sealant on hull or deck surface when installing the deck plate. Keep threads clean with hot soapy water. Lubricate with Vaseline or Teflon grease. Note: Avoid contact with acetone or strong solvents.

Perfect for my use, ok price, thick/quality plastic. Needed an access hatch for an outfeed table vacuum port hole. This covers a necessary hole but gives me quick access when needed by simply unscrewing the cap. Perfect.

I needed to replace a Metric (100mm) dec plate cover. 4" fills the void - though differences in threading do not promote a water tight seal (not critical in may application). Cover and ring appear adequately constructed. The almost-interchangable English to Metric size saved me from more significant repairs. Anecdotally, a 4" cover will screw into a 100mm ring, BUT a 100mm cover is too small to fit securely in a 4"ring.
