Cheap, sprays water everywhere when connected to the hose, when disconnected the auto shut off does not work and water continues to spray everywhere. don't waste your money!

When you get it...you think it is the wrong size. Installed easy & great. First thing I always do is check to see if the spray is coming out forcefully. This time it did not and that was very odd as I had a new water pump installed (as always) during routine maintenance 2 months earlier. Light wire did not work. Clothes hanger (carefully worked) addressed a dirt diver from winter. Started the flush, let it run for an hour just to make sure. Worth the investment. While more expensive than similar offerings, the quality is worth the difference.

Once installed this product sticks out too far for my liking. There’s a good chance for it to catch fishing lines / nets or break off on a dock or piling. The female fitting seemed pretty flimsy as well.

My 1st question I asked on Amazon was where does the extra supplied washer go? It turns out for my engines 225 Optis - nowhere. This could be a spare if the original gets worn out? The instructions tell you to put the washer into your engine which is physically impossible on mine and I would guess on most as the tube that screws into your engine has a smaller diameter than this washer. That weirdness aside you really need to push hard on this thing to get it to engage and start flushing - not easy on my engines as the tube you are screwing into is pretty flimsy and we keep our boat in the water. Overall I'm hopeful that I'll just get the hang of it and it will induce me to flush more often.

I haven't installed it yet, but you do not receive what is pictured exactly. Functionality is the exact same, but make sure you shop around for the best pricing. You will receive the white female connector Seachoice model 18411. I should have read the description more closely and then gone to the big auction site as it's almost $10 cheaper over there.

I love this little attachment. Before I got this - It was a pain screwing and unscrewing the fitting and then the hose after every time I used the boat. This lets me easily just snap the hose on with nothing to screw in.Only downside is that I need to be careful I don’t get a dock line snagged on this.I bought 3 so I have extras in case the hose attachment ‘gets legs’.
