This unit was used on my boat.it installed ok , but I used it two times,and a piece of the lock system sprune loose and went into the ocean. Contacted amazon and found that they don't have parts to repair it. I was told they would contact the manufacturer to see if I can get parts. I am still waiting ,but nothing yet?

I purchased 4 of these because they are made by the same company that made my original "Dusky" hatch's.all 4 have defective spring latches that fly apart and the spring and the latch locking slide fly off into eternity to never be found again. JUNK!

I bought two of these because they were the size I needed and I have had good experience with Seachoice products in the past. This hatch is of very low quality, I would think no more than 15 bucks. The handle is thin and feels like it can easily break and the seal is a poorly glued piece of thin foam. Its called an offshore hatch but I think there is no way this thing can handle offshore conditions.I do not recommend this product.

dont buy these, they are cleaply made and will open and fly off if you are in rough seas, i bought 3 of these and they arnt event waterproof
