Screw heads strip easily, one medium size wave and the mirror snapped off it's mount and is now useless. Plastic mounts. Calm water use only.

The mirror is very well made. It arrived quickly but the bracket was not large enough to attach to my pontoon canopy supports

This mirror was a disappointment. It is a good size and attractive (if you like/want black). But it is poorly designed. It comes in three components: the mirror itself, a mounting arm, and a mounting base. The base is unnecessarily long, limiting the places you can mount the mirror. It is, for example, too long to mount atop my boat's console without hanging over either front or back. (The base can't be turned sideways). Further, the mounting arm attaches to the base at one end, not near the center. Since the base has three screw holes, and the mounting arm attaches very close to the weak (one-screw) end of the base, with two screws on the end furtherest from the attachement, most of the stress in on the single screw at the weak end. Incidentally, quality control isn't up to par on this mirror. The base has three countersunk holes designed for flat-head screws; my package, however, contained only two screws, and both were panhead screws.

I was disappointed as soon as I took it out of the box. The reflective surface of this Ski Mirror was "wavy" and looked cheap. After only one week of being installed on the boat, the reflective backing on the glass (plastic) was peeling off of the back. I wish that I saved the box. I would send it back for a new one.
