I had to buy a second one only because the nut that held the roller to the handle disappeared and could not find a suitable replacement. I cannot explain how the nut came off but I am guessing it wasn’t properly torqued on assembly. The replacement works prefect. No complaints from replacement.

The roller is all metal, sturdy and has good bearings. Unfortunately it has rather deep grooves around the roller over its entire width. Not able to see these in the picture. It will badly scratch anything it is used on.

I have already used this roller many times to flatten out seam tape across the roof pans of my trailer and to seal windows as well. It is very strong and will probably last me until the day I die. It is a rare and hard to find tool as well. I highly recommend it.

I'm using this to set, press and smooth glue and to ensure proper contact of cove base to cinder block walls on a commercial job right now. If I didn't have this it would be a much bigger bear of a job to adhere the base to the block properly and trust the bond will hold the 8-12 hours of the adhesive's cure time. It's holding up to plenty of full body weight pressing and rolling and it's doing a great job! Bonus nachos, it's steel SO it's super easy to clean when you do get adhesive on it...way easier to clean than rubber rollers! Knowing what I know now, I'd definitely buy this again in a heartbeat if it grows legs and gets up and walks it's way outta my pouch never to be seen again. ...usually good tools tend to go on unannounced vacation. This is a solid roller...If you need one buy this, you won't be disappointed.I'm a working schmuck and paid my own hard earned hands and knees money for this tool. I was NOT given anything free. I needed a roller for pressing the back sides of upholstery french seams. Since I glue the flaps down, I needed something I could easily remove any adhesive residue. This works perfectly and is much better quality than any similar priced roller. The handle is made of solid aluminum that has been turned on a lathe and knurled for a firm grip. The roller is aluminum that has minute ridges that help to grip the surface it is used to smooth. It can be disassembled, if you ever needed to change the bearings but they would cost more than the roller! The quality is impressive.

I got this roller for fabric seam pressing. It works great and saves me having to get the iron out and having on all the time. It’s a bit heavy, but that just makes it work all the better. Also, I thought this would be great to have for installing some sound deadening in our old VW Beetle after it gets repainted.

I have not used this yet, but it looks and feel very durable, and should definitely work better than the cheap plastic and wooden handle rollers.. when I purchase a new tool I expect it to pay for itself over time, This will the first time I use it.. I will be using this for sound deadening my crew cab truck with the 80mil Noico brand sound deadening.. I have no doubts this will work just as good and definitely better than the other more cheaply made rollers.. it has 2 actual ball bearings in the roller and the rest is solid aluminum.. and this product was very well priced compared to other cheap rollers..
