Multiple languages often means minimal information in the instructions. This is the case with this gauge. For example, a sending unit is not part of the product. Your outboard has to have a sending unit from the tile/trim and most do not unless there was a previous tilt/trim gauge installed. This will add $60+ to your total expense. Also, there are images shown in the instructions that are not explained as to what they are. If the gauge does not work for you or fit, you'll pay postage to return from this seller.

The photo supplied by Amazon is of the older model design, the newer model which is delivered looks quite different with a domed glass. When I contacted Amazon and the manufacturing company, I was told that it was Amazons fault for using an older picture. - tough !So if you are looking to match older gauges, beware.

Bought this for a new pontoon that didn't have a trim gauge. The boat has a new Mercury 4 stroke. I had to run a new wire but the hookup was simple and the instructions are good. I gave it 5 stars because it just works. I don't have any negatives about the gauge, the packaging or the instructions.

The meter was a direct replacement for the original two inch gauge. Installation took 30 minutes. It functioned as it should.
