OK, you can spend a lot more money and get more refined dampening but, if you're looking for an inexpensive add-on to absorb the worst of the road, this seat post shock does the trick. Aside from not pouring a ton of money into upgrades for a 30-year-old $400 bike, the styling of this seat post also fit well with the retro styling direction and color scheme of the bike, reminding me of the front suspensions of the motorcycles I rode as a young man. Worth it.

this seatpost raised my seat like 3 inches higher than my old one thats 3 inch's to high . can not use now im stuck with it. waste of money
