My daughter is 45# and about 48in height 2nd grader and she becomes very cold easily, lips turn blue and needs to come out of the water to warm up. This wetsuit keeps her happy for hours. It is slightly loose but seems like it fits much better than other suits I have tried. The zippers make it easier to get in and out of, the zipper down the back has a nice flap to cover the top of the zipper and pull string. This is so high quality I can't believe it is so inexpensive. We had a whole summer of use with no sign of wear.

Bought my 8 y.o. a size 10; they're 52 inches and weigh 66 lbs (lots of leg muscle from gymnastics). This wetsuit has a little room to grow and is cut for slimmer kids; it would not have been a good brand for my husky 6 y.o. (48 inches and 72 lbs).Suit is comfy and warm; note these are 2/3 suits with thinner neoprene in certain areas (colored panels) for improved movement/flexibility (typical of thicker wetsuits). Lots of thoughtful details in the wetsuit construction including a velcro zipper restraint (separate from velcro neck seal, zippers at the feet, and wear guards. She can get into it herself except for the zip up.When it is time for a bigger size, will absolutely use this brand again.

My tiny, petite little daughter with not an ounce of body fat on her was getting ready to quit her swim team, even though she loves swimming. However, with no bodily reserves to speak of, and the cold water temps necessary for lap swimming at practice, it had begun to be too much. In other words, she loves the sport physically, but hates the cold that goes along with it. She would be blue-lipped, shivering, and sometimes crying after a one hour practice. Such a good swimmer though, and hated to see her quit. On a whim, I looked up wetsuits and read through a lot of the reviews on this Seavenger model, which seemed encouraging. I did somewhat discount the likelihood of effectiveness though, thinking that my extremely tiny wisp of a child had a way worse "coldness tipping point" to fight through than the average child wearer of this suit would have. But, worn just once and I can now say it's doing for her what the positive reviews said it did for other kids. She got out of the pool at end of practice (one hour) with an animated face and proclaimed herself "so warm." Amazed! Well Worth it to be able to continue participation in a sport we may have otherwise had to say goodbye to! She and her coaches both felt it did not hinder her stroke execution. It's a little hard to get on (two person job) but that's a pretty small factor against its big benefits for us. The neck also felt a bit tight to her but it seems like I could loosen that by not fastening fully. Otherwise, a great fit as a size 8 for a very small for her age 11 year old child. And a most useful product for our purposes.

I am a real person and this is a real review. This is going to be long because I am really thrilled with this wetsuit. As others have stated, this is a very well made wet suit. My granddaughter is very thin and cannot stay in the pool for long because she gets very cold and needs a hot shower after swimming to warm her up. We received the wet suit today and she swam in the pool for hours making big strides with her swimming. I have one happy little girl. She said now I can swim with my cousins and not get cold. I am very satisfied with my purchase. Someone said the color was peach and not pink and they were correct it is peach but it doesn't affect the wetsuit and my granddaughter was still very happy. We went with the size 6(she is 7 and is 48 inchs tall with long legs, and weighs around 45 lbs.) which were her measurements but it was very long in length and sleeves. We also purchased a size 4 which will come tomorrow and we will see if that is a better fit. All in all it was well worth the money, a great buy.Don't hesitate to buy.

I bought the size 4 for my son, who turns 5 next month. He's 43 pounds and 43 inches tall. The legs and arms are much too long for him, and I have to roll them up. It seems to be fine to do so without losing the wetsuit's function, though. It's nice and thick and is a super deal for the price! My daughter who turns 7 in 2 months also fits into the size 4 suit, and the length is much better on her. She's also 43 pounds but is 48 inches tall. Hope that information helps out with sizing questions.

This is a great suit. My daughter just tried it on for the first time and it fits really well. She's tall and slim, about the 95th percentile for height and 50th for weight so I bought it one size larger than her clothes. She normally wears size 10 and I ordered a 12. As one rating said there is a bit of room in the chest, but not enough for anyone to notice. I suggest getting it a bit larger than their normal size. The neoprene is very thick and sturdy and it has reinforced knee pads. She's so comfortable in it she asked to wear it in the bathtub! I'll revise my review after see how she does in the cold pool.Update:This was great in the swimming pool for her winter lessons. She didn't complain about being cold at all. It is a bit tough to get off once it's wet, but we still love it!

Great suit. Kids stay warm in water and float, however, my girls are 4 1/2 years old and size 4 is too tight and very long. Ther is no size 5. Size 6 is even longer, it is too big and bulges. My kids are at or a bit above average on height. One is on the skinny side, the other avg, neither could squeeze in size 4. Disappointed. Quality good, fit not so much.
