It's a thicker jacket. My kid says he is warm enough. good bigger zipper. A good quality fun jacket for sonic fans.

I bought a Sonic version of this size 5-6 and the Shadow version was size 7. The Sonic 5-6 was slightly bigger than the Shadow 7. Sizing is inaccurate.

A couple years ago I got the sonic blue and it lasted a couple years of mostly everyday wear. This yeary son wanted all Shadow items so we ordered this one, which should last him another couple years with mostly everyday wear. He has loved both jackets! Always order a size or two up for growth spurts so that it can be worn for a longer period of time. All time favorite and go to jacket.
