The controls are next to the floor if you use it as shown. Sort of difficult to see them while kneeling. They are a little high end heavy for me but taking the treble back just a little took care of this. Daisy chained with XLR or straight line in works well. For the money you can get a little more quality perhaps with the other big name brands but I did not hear a difference in live band style monitoring. I also used this speaker (mono) with an ipad mini as a source to listen to tunes while painting my deck and it was most satisfying. Seems roadworthy enough. Great Buy! I sold it to a keyboard player who loves the presence with his keys and it throws a pretty wide radius.

Above all, it's made in the USA. This is a fine piece of equipment, well designed and light for its size. Using it for the drummer's stage monitor.
