I spent a while designing my own dephleg but the cost of materials were nearly the same as the cost of this product. Then combining that with the difficulties in cutting each component precisely enough to solder and the struggle in soldering multiple pieces in such a tight space, buying this just made more sense to me. The quality of all the joints looks great and the tool functions exactly as it should.The closest thing I have to a complaint is that I wish it was made out of copper. It does have a 21mm cavity on each side that allows me to stick two tufts of copper mesh though. In the end, I am very glad I made this purchase

This is the best deal I could find on a 2" tri clamp reflux condenser. $61.50. It is 8 3/4 inches long with 1/4 inch cold water connections could be 8mm , 1/4 silicone hose fits. (It is NOT 1/2" like most). Photos on Amazon didn't show water connections at all. Seems well made. So I hope this will help.

First impressions are great. It’s good looking and seems to fit a 2 inch tri-clamp fitting well. Seemed perfect for my needs.That’s where the good ends..... When I hooked it up, the water outflow kept sucking in air from the inside of the part, indicating an improper weld somewhere within the internals of the condenser. I checked this by spraying some water inside of the condenser and the intake of air/hissing stopped. After the water I sprayed evaporated, the bubbles and hissing resumed. Definitely an improper weld.This, in tandem with the smooth 1/4 inch barbs (instead of 1/2 inch standard) make this not the best purchase I’ve made.If I can have a return/replacement, that’d be great.

Everyone should have this thing in their column. It stabelized the head temperature and increased the proof. Just make sure you don't let the cooling water get too warm.
