I used this pack to make a battery cable for my Goal Zero Yeti 1250. It has a 75A Anderson socket on the back that let's you chain batteries into it. I made up the Anderson side, using some fine stranded 4 AWG cable. This pack of crimp lugs was the other end of the cable. The lugs seem a little light in weight. Heavier is a better for these applications because they would hold the crimp better and provide more copper to conduct heat away.They crimped down just fine (you'll need the proper tool), and tugging on them produced little to no movement at the crimp and no permanent strain. I tried grinding the edge of one lug just to see if it's solid copper. It is. A magnet test also confirms this. The cross sectional area of the lug seems adequate at 27 sq mm, which matches the wire gauge at 25 sq mm. For 10 solid copper 4 AWG lugs this looks like a decent price.

Well made & heavy duty copper battery lugs. Offered at a good price. Offered at a good price. Since these are pure copper lugs, they will corrode in marine use. Either tin these in solder/lead or purchase coated battery lugs. The included heat shrink tubing are adhesive lined, perfect for waterproofing & added protection. We'll see how well they hold up. These lugs are made to last, good quality and sized correctly. Fit nicely in my hydraulic crimper with the proper die. Really nice heat shrink too. Price is reasonable, considering the free shipping. Nothing to complain about.

These are solid connectors that can really only be attached via a crimping tool - that is the only draw back that I saw. It makes sense that it would require a crimping tool since the gage is 6awg wire. I attempted to solder to them but no dice. Once I attached the wire via grip pliers the cable attached just fine - it does take a bit of force to crimp them but that just tells me that they are heavy duty. I also appreciated the colored shrink sleeves which seals the fit. Value for the money is a plus as well for the number of pieces you receive. Overall they work great!

The worked out great for my application. I've only used 2 so far with the installation of a gm 1 wire alternator to replace a generator on an old truck. The lugs fir the battery terminal perfectly, they were a bit large for the post on the alternator, but still usable. This old truck didn't come with a fuse box so I'm sure I'm going to be getting some more use out of these when I go to installing one for the complete rewiring of it. The included heat shrink made for a nice finished look.
