The $60 base models lists the following in the description, as of the time of purchase:"Dual MCUs and Rich GPIOs: Equipped with powerful ESP32S3 and RP2040 dual MCUs and over 400 Grove-compatible GPIOs for flexible expansion options. Real-time Air Quality Monitoring: Built-in tVOC and CO2 sensors, and an external Grove AHT20 temperature and humidity sensor for more precise. Local LoRa Hub for IoT Connectivity: Integrated Semtech SX1262 LoRa chip (optional) for connecting LoRa devices to popular IoT platforms such as Matter via Wi-Fi, without the need for additional compatible devices."The LoRa chip is "optional" in the sense that there is no option for it on this model, you have to buy the higher end model and then it's built-in. This is misleading; the only wireless communications in this are wifi/bluetooth.It does not have "over 400 GPIOs", it has two plugs on the back which you can connect multiplexers to. This is like saying your computer has "over 400 USB ports" because you can buy and plug in dozens of usb hubs. This one isn't just misleading, it's outright lying. There's only 4 exposed GPIO pins on the back and if you open it and solder your own wires to test points you can add about a dozen more, at the cost of potentially ruining your hardware. Most importantly, this does NOT have any temperature, humidity, VOC, or CO2 sensing capabilities whatsoever! That is only on the Pro and better models. So, what ARE you even getting? You're just getting an ESP32 and RP2040 (that's the previous-gen ESP module and a two-generations old RP chipset, both available for less than 5 bucks each). They're tucked inside a box so you don't even have direct access to them, with a low-FPS 4" touchscreen LCD on the front. The resolution isn't bad, but I can find this display module for about 14 dollars on certain sites. So all in all we're not even up to 20 bucks for the hardware. So why does this cost $60 bucks? Beats me. Their own site sells it for cheaper, and other sites sell it for about half that, so there's literally zero reason to buy this model, let alone buy it on amazon. If I wanted a generic touchscreen esp/rp2040 dipslay I could just pick up a CYD for like 15 bucks and have all the same functionality but with even more GPIO and sram. This thing is a disgrace, I used to respect this company for their innovation but they've missed the mark with this crap.
