I have really enjoyed this so far! I’m an autistic adult and always looking out for new and different fidgets that can help prevent sensory overload and help me focus. I feel like the size of this is perfect for me as an adult looking for a fine motor skill challenge. I have fine motor skill issues so it engages my brain and really helped me focus and drown out the noise. I didn’t notice any sharp edges once it was put together and the “strings” fit in really nicely but were still easy to take out.The only reason I didn’t give it five stars is because while it’s not terribly difficult to put it together and twist it to lock it, opening it is much more difficult. There’s no stop on the inside to keep you from over twisting and with the way it’s designed, you have to match the two sides exactly to be able to lift the halves apart. Basically, you just have to keep pulling apart while slowly twisting and you eventually get to the right spot and separate the two halves. This requires decent hand strength, so if you have weak hands I would really consider that before buying it. Otherwise, I think it’s really great and I really enjoy it!

An entertaining and engaging fidget toy that definitely helps to relieve some stress if you are someone (like me) that likes to fiddle about with things in their hands when they get agitated. Slotting the little rubber strips into the grooves is quite therapeutic.

I got this in an attempt to soothe my urge to fidget from ADHD, and it’s pretty fun! It’s well-made, has a good weight to it, and I love that it screws open to let you store the silicone strings inside. Word of advice: when screwing the two halves of the sphere together, you need to use more force than you’d expect; you should feel a “click” when it’s fully locked into place, and the pattern on the two halves should align perfectly. My only complaint is that I think it should include more strings, and different lengths of strings. You can’t cover the entire ball with what’s provided, and depending on what kind of pattern you’re trying to make, the strings don’t always perfectly fit the length of the grooves, so you might end up with a string ending in the middle of a line. For those of us with a touch of OCD or perfectionism (which is most neurodivergent folks), that’s frustrating! Also, I don’t feel this is the kind of fidget toy you can mindlessly mess with while doing other tasks. It takes some attention and brainpower to figure out how to make the design you want. Maybe if you’re able to strictly use it for tactile feedback of pressing the strings into the grooves, tossing the ball back and forth, or rolling the ball between your hands, without focusing on creating an actual design, it could work just for grounding and stimming, but personally, I can’t ignore the urge to make a pattern!I have a feeling I’ll be buying more of these for neurodivergent friends and family!

I got this toy for my sensory seeking kids. They seemed to play with this more than their other, similar sensory toy that is a small flexible silicon rectangle you put the strings on. They like to throw this ball at each other. It's hard plastic, so I don't recommend throwing this at someone. It will hurt when it hits you. My son likes to sit on the floor and hold this ball with his bare feet and put the stings on it. He likes the rough feel of it on his feet. The grooves in the ball are rigid and hold the strings in tight. I wish it had more dot pattern on it that allows for more designs. It's a little tricky to get the ball apart at first to get the strings out. My young kids can't open it or close it by themselves, so I have to do it. We will store the strings in the storage bag that came with their other sensory string board so I don't have to keep opening and closing this ball. The silicon strings gets dusty and covered in hair quick. I think I was more excited about this toy than the kids were. They've abandoned the ball and are playing with the strings pretending they are worms, snakes, and spaghetti.

The quality of the silicon noodles are good (all smooth, no rough edges or anything like that), and it fits just right into the slots on the ball so that it stays put snuggly, but not too hard for little hands to put it into place, so the functionality is good. My Daughter was entertained with it for a few hours before she moved on to something else. She has gone back to it a few times since then, so it seems to do its job well as something to keep her hands busy so she doesn't get into other stuff we don't want her in, so it seems to be doing its job as a figit toy. Time will tell if the novelty will wear off or if she will keep with it, though that probably is highly dependent on the child. This is actually something that I was going to buy anyway but saw it offered through Vine, so snagged it that way. I like it enough that I would purchase it myself if I had to.

I was not expecting this sensory activity ball to be as soothing as it is, but I’m glad I tried it out! It comes with the stretchy strands inside the ball, which you unscrew to separate and remove the strands. Then you screw the ball back together and have fun placing the strands around the ball. The strands are durable through multiple uses, and it is super cathartic to just disassociate and play with this for a while. This is a great thing to have around for those moments when you’re overwhelmed with the world, and good for kids who may get overstimulated. It is larger than I imagined, and once you take the strands out of the plastic packaging they are kind of squirrelly and difficult to get back inside the ball for storage, but those are minor inconveniences.

Loving this! Got it for my daughter but guilty of trying to work out a new pattern every now and again. Feels relaxing and helps disconnect

The idea behind this ball is that there are silicone strings that can be pushed into grooves on the surface of the ball. It’s quite fiddly and, as an adult, I found this activity quite soothing. However, in a Reception class, the children are totally uninterested in putting the strings into the grooves. They are far more interested in twisting the ball into 2 sections than putting it back together again. This isn’t a problem as the idea behind it is to calm and occupy the user.

This sensory ball has limited sensory function. The lines in the ball are hard and too similar throughout with one small area of dots but also very hard, not soothing. The noodles to smooth into the grooves are very thing and small for younger kids and once smoothed into the grooves are very hard to get back out for an adult much less a smaller child. The ball could include more noodles. There are not enough to fill half the ball much less the whole ball. Unscrewing the ball can be a bit awkward as well and stiff. Colors are great. The texture of the noodles is also soothing and soft but would be more soothing if they were bigger and if the ball had bigger grooves. That could resolve many of its problems.
