We bought this on the recommendation of a friend because when we arrived in FL in December, our pool was scummy and the spa was empty and full of leaves. Thousands of dollars in repairs required.So far so good. It was easy to install and seems to be working well. I’ll update when we return to FL next season.

I am so excited I found something to automatically fill the pool up when it gets low so I don't have to remember to do it myself! I've had this for a week and a half now and I have had NO issues. I normally have to fill my pool up every other day b/c it drops so fast (probably a leak somewhere but we can't find it). So this has been a life saver!! There is nothing fancy to it at all. It's all plastic. Does not need batteries or an outlet. There are no electronics to it. So I hate that it cost so much to be honest. There is a float inside that you can set to the desired height/water level, so that when the water level drops, so does the float and it automatically releases water into the pool.

Used it for several months before it finally got stuck. Overfilled pool for several days.. I came home to find a wet yard & street. I've cleaned the debris from the float but afraid to leave it on while we're out of town.

This appears to work at first but it sticks on due to a poor design and the pool fills until you realize that your pool has been filling for days and then you go kick this thing to make it stop filling!! The old models used to work great but now the new design is flawed and the knob gets stuck inside the case which holds the float down and allows the water to flow. I'm not kidding, our water bill was $200 more last month than any other month because our pool was filling for days and it just happened again. Don't buy this.
