I was able to install it myself. I have installed several mini-splits in the past so I felt comfortable that I could pull it off. The main thing to know is you will need to install two 220 volt breakers. And you may need to modify your ducting if you are doing a retrofit. The line set I ordered on the phone from the OEM was the wrong diameter. I don’t think they understand what they are selling. I ended up buying a line set locally at a A/C supply house. It was much stiffer and easier to push through the walls.

This is my second one and I wrote a review on my first so I'll not got into that again. It was positive and that unit is still working fine. I live in the south so and the first one I installed upstairs and I didn't need the aux heat strips since I never ran the heat upstairs with old unit. But for this one installed downstairs I ordered with the aux heat strips. The unit arrived unharmed and installed without any problems. See my review on the first about line lengths. My only complaint is the unit has a series on dip switches in the air handler and you have select the switches for aux heat added to the unit. The instructions are not clear how to setup so I had to call and get instructions. Still it is unclear that the settings is correct because the instructions I got on the phone call are not even close to the same as on the manual. Let's see. Been working ok but not sure it working at optimum level due to dip switch settings. I questioned the person if he was correct because of different instructions. It would save much headache if they sent direct instruction on setting up the aux heat strip controls instead of the general confusing instructions. Other than that unit is good quality very efficient and so quiet. One other thing the air never completely shuts off and although the fan speeds up and down with heat load it may be a problem for some who don't want the fan running all the time. I recommend the unit and let's see it's longitivity. Good luck with your install.

I am very disappointed by the Heat pump that I bought. Our 24 volt system would not work with their system. After spending money to buy new thermostats it still did not work.

Unit was a breeze to install and is functioning as advertised. You can use an off the shelf 24V remote if you would like, but the Senville remote paired with a Cielo Max thermostat gives you full functionality from your smartphone. I’ll be purchasing a second unit soon.

I am a professional HVAC installer so I figured I can offer a review based on my experience with this system. I have used Fujitsu, LG, Mitsubishi and others in the past. For my last home I went with the Fujitsu equivalent of this system. This time around after contacting my supplier and getting equipment costs I decided to check out other air handler units and see what was out there. This unit stood out to me after learning the manufacturer of them is Midea and this company is based out of Canada. Also it can in around 3400$ with tax which was about 2-2500$ cheaper than the Fujitsu model. This one also said it was compatible with 24v t-stat (nest, ecobee, ect).Overall it’s great unit and has excellent build quality. I actually had to flip my coil upside down for a down flow installation and it was straightforward and easy to do. The piping that it comes with is a little questionable but I had a bit of a longer run anyway so I picked up my own piping.I thought the Fujitsu thermostat was bad but man this one is definitely 1000 times worse. It has a very large temperature delta (the space between the heat and cool setting) so it can only hold a temp within that 5 degree range. Also It runs the fan all the time, definitely a bit weird because my Fujitsu would modulate it a bit more so at times you would barely hear or feel the fan where as this unit seems to just run a pretty high baseline fan 24/7. My Reme Halo Led needs to turn off and on throughout the day so I couldn’t even use it with the systems standard thermostat. Good news is installing a 3rd party thermostat was way easy.I ended up install an Ecobee stat and it is able to have a 2 degree temperature delta meaning I have it set to keep it between 68-70 when I’m home which is much tighter of a range and more comfortable. Also the Ecobee allowed me to set my fan on auto recirculating for a set amount of time per hour which allows me to use my Reme Halo Led again which is awesome. Also one thing to note is this unit differs from similar models I have installed is that the indoor unit had a dedicated 15a 208-240 volt circuit. It does not get its power from the outdoor unit. Other manufacturers use the outdoor unit to power the indoor unit so just keep that in mind this unit is a bit different in that regard.Overall I would definitely recommend it but I would ditch the factory thermostat for a nice smart thermostat.

If it was a simple, hassle free install I would have gave 5 stars. Before you purchase know that there are a few things you absolutely need: Control wire, electrical wire for outdoor and indoor units, a ac vacuum pump and a set of r-410a guages (which have different pipe threads than r134a or r22). The cheap Chinese thermostat included hooks up 2 wire and does work good. If you plan to use a good thermostat like Honeywell or Nest you'll need some knowledge and up to 12pin control wire. VERY IMPORTANT, after powering on there is a 10 minute delay before it will start, knowing this will save you hours of trouble shooting. I used my old ducts which work just fine. This is a NEW unit and customer support is lacking. Started trying to reach out friday afternoon (office shuts down for the weekend estern time) and although I got response Monday afternoon, i didn't get a technician callback till Thursday morning. With all that said, much quieter and colder than my old unit! Haven't tested heatpump or aux heat yet but it's mid July and 110° outside! I went 3 weeks without ac (local ac company was too busy to help at all) so I'll wait for heat testing a few months from now lol.So far, good unit! Ordered on a Monday morning, arrived Friday at lunch via freight. Installed, troubleshot and blowing cold air by Tuesday evening. Probably would have been done Sunday had I already had guages, vacuum pump and any previous knowledge of air conditioning.
