I though these would not fit because they measured 38mm and the housing was 48mm. Wow do they stretch. They should include some instructions that explain how much they will stretch. I spent a great deal of time looking for the correct part before deciding I had nothing to loose by trying to stretch them on.

I have read several reviews on other boots that didn't fit 92-95 Honda Civics, but these did the trick! These DO fit, but they can be difficult to install without an extra pair of hands. It took one person to hold where the boot was on and another person to pull the boot on where it was not.

A lot of work to replace the old torn boot with this, then could not complete the job because the inside (large) diameter was not wide enough to fit. Oh, ever so close, probably just a millimeter too small in diameter. Used silicone grease, a heat gun and finally took it to a couple of professional mechanic and offered them a bounty if they could get it on: they couldn't. Probably just crappy quality control. But more than a dead loss: a huge theft of time and energy.

I only need one side boot, the other one saved for future. Install is straight forward, you need disconnect the tie-rod from the middle(Make a mark on position). The boot inner side is pretty tight, I use the screw driver to pull the opening to gradually put it in. Than reconnect the tie-rod. so far it works perfect.BTW, shipping took about a week.
