These were a quick addition to our garage pool hall to enable lazy pool players to chalk up without moving very far from wherever they are. The cord is a woven plastic so it won't fray and the rubber holder grips the chalk cube snug enough to keep it inside, but not so snug it cannot be changed when the chalk runs low. Inexpensive upgrade for the home billiards room.
