I used this to add a volume control to my cuckoo clock, which was way too loud. It works perfectly. I only attached wires to the first and third terminals.

These work great and a standard knob fits it well. I needed one to replace the one in my ubitX.

Great component for the price. Used to adjust volume from my amp. It is Log. so more you have more control at the lower volume. Also the nut and washer is included which is a nice.
