I have about 15 Plumeria plants (but no pink or red, which is why I purchased these) so I know how to plant them and I have never had cuttings not root or rot. I ordered these in January and have given them plenty of time to set roots, but none rooted and two rotted. I have researched planting cuttings to be sure I did not forget anything, but I did everything correctly including using rooting hormone. Disappointed that there is only a 30 day return/replacement since it normally takes longer for the plants to set roots. I did not know no roots were present until I saw other cuttings of mine were setting leaves while all 4 of these were doing nothing. When I pulled them up I discovered the bottom of two were completely rotted which is really strange since I do not over water plumeria.

Once I received my four plumeria cuttings, they were labeled just as the pictures. Visual and feel inspection of the cuttings showed promise of 3 out of 4 cuttings. The pink plumeria was somewhat soft where it was cut and white fuzz in the location. I just cut that part off and let it sit for about two weeks and then potted them. Now it’s been about a month now and 3 out of the four plumerias have survived and are showing great progress. Now seeing I got this from Hawaii and had it delivered to me in southern Georgia is great value and great outcome. I do not recommend this plant for the novice gardener as it can be easy to ruin the plant.UPDATE: the three plants are now healthy and starting to root and grow leaves. About a month and a half they are doing great. I wish the pink one serviced. If it did I would give this 5 stars. I live in south east Georgia and the cuttings are coming from Hawaii. So this says a lot by itself.

These are beautiful, but very picky! Hardly any water is needed before they leaf out. One of them sprouted an inflo right away but with no supporting foliage it dropped before it blossomed. The pink one blossomed first, about 11 months after I planted it and is still blooming 5 months later! The yellow one just started blooming a few weeks ago and has a wonderful, more potent fragrance compared to the pink one. If you live in a northern climate, do not let them go below 55* F or they’ll go dormant. I gave them a fairly regular regimen of Hawaiian Bloom Booster fertilizer and can’t argue with the results. If kept in water, the blossoms stay fresh for as long as 10 days, and add a very nice tropical touch to our kitchen. I absolutely recommend these to anyone up for a green thumb challenge. You will be rewarded if you do it right!

The order arrived within 9 days and was immediately planted. The cuttings were firm with well scabbed over cut ends, they looked ready to go. After 10 days all 4 were showing signs that they had rooted and leaves were starting to grow. I could hardly be more pleased with this order and only regret that the seller does not offer other color combinations as well. Very Happy.***UPDATE 5 WKS*** I lost 2 of the 4 due to root rot. I tried to save them by cutting off rot and replanting but failed. Entirely my fault, too wet for too long. Btw, why blame the seller for our failure to properly grow the cuttings? Learn from it and try again. I'll try the perlite and baggie method next spring.***UPDATE 10 WKS*** I lost another to root rot, I believe I'm planting them to deep and have begun to surface plant them with wires to support the stem. Additional, the remaining cutting (yellow) is growing like crazy! It's doing better than cuttings planted months before it was, and this insane cutting has been growing an INFLOW! The mad yellow is gonna bloom only a few months after planting, hahaha. I will certainly be reordering them again this spring, if not sooner.

Absolutely satisfied with this delivery. The cuttings I received were large and healthy. They are currently at different stages in development but thriving nicely. I am so excited waiting for my first bloom. I would recommend using a root hormone and remembering to water only once from the top after planting. There after if the soil seems to be drying up water from below by placing your pot in a bowl or vessel with just enough water to wet the lower part of the planted pot. You will cause the stem to rot if you water too much until the plant is established. There is plenty of information on the internet about rooting your plumeria and I would highly recommend reading up while your waiting for delivery. One site I visited recommended planting in a clear cup or tub with holes in the bottom you punched or drilled. Plant in vermiculite and water once. You will be able to see the plant and how far along the rooting process is and easy to lift out and then plant in the potting soil. The pictures are of the cuttings as of June 1st, 2016. All 4 are at various stages of development. One of the plants look like it is going straight to the bloom stage while 2 others are in various stages of leaf development. The final plumeria may be forming a bud to bloom also. It is still a little to early to tell if it will be a bloom or leaf. They are all doing wonderfully and I am very happy with the cuttings I received.

Here is a 6 month report on my results. In early February I planted the 4 Plumeria plant cuttings in pots with a mixture of 2/3 potting soil and 1/3 Perlite. A root hormone was used before insertion into the pots and 1 inch of pea gravel spread on top for stability. They were left indoors until April then taken outside when the temperatures were mild. By June 1 the yellow plant had nice flowers and leaves. Today the yellow plant has lost the blooms but the leaves look healthy. The pink plant has healthy leaves but no flowers. The red plant is struggling to develop leaves. They are only about 1”. The white plant has no leaves and the stem is soft so I think it is pretty much dead. All had the same light and watering conditions.
