They make longer ones.Verify they are wedged in. Dont just assume.Use the bar to release. And lift them.

I am building a custom trailer and I wanted some stabilizer jacks. Reading the reviews I noticed several users mentioning the mounting, but thought I was safe since I can mount anywhere. I did make these work for me but the way they come out and down I had to reverse what I was doing. in any event, I had to use spacers to offset the mounting plate which if they just made the material a bit longer, no one would have this issue. When extended to the ground, you have to move them a bit so they are as extended as possible. When I overloaded my trailer as seen in the pic, these jacks did great, but I did have to hit with a hammer to release the mechanism as there was so much weight on them. They rattle a bit when driving around, but they seem very solid in use and are easy to use.

I bought a set of 4 of these for my HF 4x8' utility trailer to stabilize it while using the loading ramps. These jacks are rated for 1k lbs each and I can attest, they buckled with less than 400lbs across a pair and only extended half way out. They're garbage and because of the failure, have now cost me well over $3200 bucks due to the load (large in wall double oven @336lbs) falling off the dolly going up the ramp when they failed. Needless to say, I'm extremely pissed and can't return them either. Buyer beware.

I installed them on a 7x14’ enclosed trailer. With one in each corner they make it stable enough to walk around in without moving.
