How to Terminate Ghost Wire

  1. Peel back the white backing about 1” and cut it off, exposing the adhesive and conductors.
  2. Trim away white covering in between and at the edges of the conductors.
  3. Remove the white covering from the opposite side of the conductor. It does not have adhesive between the conductor, and should leave a nice clean copper surface when removed.
  4. Fold the conductors 2-4 times, keeping the clean copper surface outwards.
  5. Insert the conductors into the Terminal Block and tighten the set screws.
  6. Insert your standard speaker cable in the other end of the terminal block and tighten the set screws.

Installation was a breeze and my rear speakers play extremely well.

The connection to the flat wire is two tiny little screws, and on the other side to the cable is still this sloppy screw connection. You need a plate that the screws press down against an alternate flat surface. These are horrible. I'm going to return them and solder instead. Unbelievable for the price!

I bought 4 of these and at about $9 each I was expecting better quality and design for the price. The screws are small with fine threads and are anchored by plastic. I managed to strip one, on the speaker wire side, without using what I felt was excessive force. There is no way to anchor them to wall. I used some 3M picture frame mounting strips and that did workout fine.Attached them to 4 conductor ghost wire 2. After the work of a clean install and painting of the ghost wire (the ghost wire looks good on wall and is not too conspicuous) there is this ugly, industrial looking, connector, which sticks out like a sore thumb.

So i bought these to go along with the 4 channel flat wire. I intended to do red-black-red-black but what a surprise while the entrance of the flat wire is for the 4 channels, the output is only 2? so this is unusable for me! for me these do not come from the same channel, i have rear left and surround left, rear right and surround right. all different channels. Cannot take these different channels and have only one output. very disappointed. is there something I don't understand in how these are intended to work?

Recently ran ghost wire and needed to terminate the ends. These are excellent! I wish I could have gotten the newer model in 4 conductor but it was not available.Everything went smoothly, no issues at all. My ONLY two complaints are: no way to fasten this to a wall. None. I cut some double sided tape and used that. Lastly as stated previously, I would have liked the newer, cleaner model.Other than that, these are excellent. Don’t hesitate or cheap out. You need them!

Defective. They all have the screws closed and so tight that you cannot open these terminals. If you try to turn them real hard with a precision screw driver, the internal screws strip. This is junk. A completely shoddily made and overpriced item. It makes the ghostwire wire that I bought totally useless.

Since we were getting rid of the carpet and putting down a floating laminate floor in the family room it was time to hide the ugly speaker wire going from the receiver around the walls and to the rear speakers. The ghost wire was simple to tape down to the underlayment from the front of the room to the back and super flat so it doesn't interfere with the laminate floor planks.Since I already had the baseboards off I was able to cut a small slit the width of the ghost wire at the bottom of the drywall just above the base 2x4. From there I fed the ghost wire into the slit and used one of these terminal blocks to transition to regular speaker wire where I connected them to a nice looking wall plate I installed at the same height as the plugs in the room https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001TK89L2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1.I did the same thing at the back of the room and now you can't see any speaker wire at all. Yay!

I ordered an eight pack of a two terminal connector but the supply was for a single piece of a four terminal connector.

I would not consider using GhostWire without these terminal blocks unless I was soldering my own solution. If you are not buying a pack of these with your GhostWire - and you don't have any skill in soldering/electronics, then you are making a mistake and you will not have a good experience. They are simple to use, four precision flathead screws hold the wire in place.Be sure to strip back a wee bit extra GhostWire and fold it over on itself (stick side in) so you get a slightly thicker contact surface for the screw to hold.Just watch some videos and read Sewell's own documentation on the product and you should have a great time.I see a lot of reviews complaining that this is bulky, and I don't really understand. Of course I planned my installation out ahead of time so that both terminations would be reasonably hidden, and I kept some of the non-sticky surface I stripped back to place back over the block to sort of hide it.In all I would say this is about as thick as your average modern smartphone at most, and no wider than the GhostWire you are pairing it with.

Needs re-engineering. Ghost cable works well and terminal blocks look like they will mate well. However, the connection is made with two tiny screws. Two (of three) speakers sounded great, but the third had a very weak signal. Unfortunately I had already patched and spackled the wall. I am removing the wire and starting over. Solution - redesign the block so the connector clamps to the cable. I am grinding down a single edged razor blade to make a surface to clamp the connector to the cable. A lot of work, but I want a permanent installation.Update: Don’t use razor blade, it breaks under pressure. The aluminum back works perfectly and can be cut to size with wire cutters. Cut off both ends and blade removes easily. Provides a secure connection to the ghost wire.Another suggestion... Don’t make turns unless you use electrical tape. I changed my wiring plan and went diagonal, making connections behind the speakers and behind the AV console, wiring is almost invisible.

Works as expected but extremely over priced! These are actually 2 wire connectors that are joined together in the middle. They are able to be separated and put back together like a puzzle. The wing on the end gives an idea how it's separated, and if you had two sets they could be combined for 8 wire (if desired). My point is, this could be 2 or 4 or 6 or 8 wire connectors if you bought two sets. Remember you'll need to order two for one 4 wire ghost wire on both ends. Over priced!
