  • The Alnico II Pro Slash was designed to give Slash's other Les Paul guitars-what he calls his "live guitars"-the exact tone of this legendary instrument.
  • Alnico 2 Magnet with boosted output
  • Perfectly Matched Pickup Set wtih Bridge and Neck Pickup
  • Distinctive Slash Tone

Application Warm, moderate output humbucker. Recommended for jazz, blues, and classic rock. Description Like the standard APH-1 Alnico II Pro, this pickup uses an Alnico 2 magnet. However, the Slash model is wound with just enough boosted output to push a stock Les Paul toward the sweet sustain and rude crunch that characterizes Slash's sound as heard on hundreds of tracks. In addition, it comes with some of the same appointments found on the Seymour Duncan pickups in Slash's '86 recording axe, including single-conductor cable, long-legged bottom plate, and wooden spacer. For the true fan, or the player who wants to capture Slash's recorded tone, this pickup is a critical part of the tone chain. This is same pickup found in the newest Gibson Slash model Les Paul. Complete setup The Slash aficionado will use a pair of these pickups to capture that unmistakable tone. This pickup matches well with the SFX-11 Twin Tube Blue all-tube overdrive-distortion stompbox for singing leads and authoritative chording. Guitars While designed for use in a Les Paul, this pickup works well in any well-balanced humbucker-equipped guitar. Also works great with hollow and semi-hollow body guitars. 11104-08-ZRZ

I wanted to use for a little while before I did my review. I bought in April and I just don't think I got a legitimate Slash set! For some odd reason my Les Paul just don't have the Hot sound of what I hear of on all the videos. They actually seem less hot than the Probucker pickups I had in my Les Paul. Maybe I need to buy some New Pots and Caps and have someone put on. I'm not a professional but I think 2 wires is simple a hot and a ground wire. Maybe it's my amp but why would my Probucker pickups sound hotter on same amp. They seem very articulate. Just not what I thought a 200$ set of pickups should sound. It's definitely not 200$ better than my Probucker pickups. It has the Slash logo on them I put the right one in the right spot. After I have new pots and Caps put on if I'm persuaded differently I will change my review. I will have it all professionally done and then I will make my call for sure.Update:Put in a 920D Custom 50s style wiring with all 920D custom Pots with a TonePro Cable hookup. Also a brand new Bone Nut with a Wilkinson bridge, and saddle, keystone locking tuners, brand new stainless steel medium jumbo frets. This really opened up the sound on my Epiphone Les Paul Custom Pro with the Slash Pickups. This other mod it didn't help with the sound any, but it looked really good. I added all new tan Pickguard, Tan pickup rings, also a metal amp connector plate, and tan electric covers, and tan top hat volume and tone caps. Now this guitar really looks great, and sounds better than it looks. Another sidenote. I found a crack on my bridge pickup, it didn't affect the sound, or playability, or anything in any way. It was out of warranty, but I notified the store that sold these to me or the store that sold them on Amazon to me. They ask for a picture of the cracked pickup, and proof of purchase, but even though it was out of warranty, and I had absolutely no idea how it got there, and it wasn't affecting the tone any at all. They sent me a brand new pickup set just like the ones I had purchased, a couple months later he sent me an update saying my new pickups were in the mail! Few days later I was holding brand new pickups and they let me keep the old set as well. Now that is customer service at its best if you ask me. I would use that vender over and over if I could . You will not be upset with these pickups I promise! I would recommend this seller and this product a million times over!I hope if you are weighing the pros and cons, I guarantee you that the pros definitely outweigh the cons. Don't hesitate if you can afford these buy them you will not be sorryn

Awesome results, for me far better than the Classic 57 that came in my 2016 Traditional Les Paul

These sound incredible. I’ve been trying to recreate Slash’s AFD sound for a while and these were a critical piece. Great pickups for my LP Standard.
