I bought a cheap $119 tele on Amazon just to use for practice. When I got the guitar I was impressed with the build quality and saw potential but the electronics were terrible. I decided to put some money into it and bought these pickups, new 500k pots, an orange drop capacitor, new 3 way switch and locking tuners. It plays and sounds amazing. For under $500 it plays and sounds amazing. I gigged with it last Saturday! It plays and sounds like a $1500 to $2000 guitar with these pickups.

I had a cheap Squire Affinity Telecaster that I bought for just over $100 bucks years ago. I almost never played it, but wanted to try my hand and modifying a guitar. I bought these and had them in withing a couple of hours. They sound amazing. The Bridge pickup adds a lot of "bite" on the top strings while the neck pickup is crystal clear. I play a lot of country and blues and this has become my favorite guitar (even thoguh it is, by far, my cheapest). Well worth the cost.
